In the past, I've spent a lot of time surfing the internet trying to find all the information I could about what is known about orgasms.

Just today I noticed a really interesting article in the Los Angeles times that I think a lot of folks here might like to read titled "Science of the orgasm"

http://www.latimes.com/features/health/la-he-orgasm11feb11,1,6621596.story?ctrack=1&cset=true

There's a lot of stuff in there that I've came to discover on my own through the aneros use, and my own research. It's nice to find an article that verifies my own thoughts and theories as to what this is.

I find it interesting how they describe the cause of the rythmic muscle contractions as being from hard wired programs in clusters of cells in the brain stem and spinal column. I have posted before how I sometimes get these at random times in the days following aneros use. I was personally thinking there was some strange neurological thing going on to cause this.

One of the things I find really disappointing is that the article mentions that not much at all is known about the cause of the pleasure. I suppose we really are in unknown territory when trying to find that pleasure by using the aneros.

comments, anyone?

Binaryfellow,

The Sunday edition is rather unwieldy these days....what section does this article appear in? (I'm not an online subscriber)

To read article without signing up for an account at LA Times, simply Google "Science of the Orgasm" and it will take you directly to article.

I decided to go on line and sign up. Glad I did. This is a three page article and two additional topics can be researched at the same time.

My city has a rinky dink newspaper with very few articles worth reading. I like going to the large cities and doing an online subscribe. It is free and what a great way to spend an evening. Different perpectives in different parts of the country even on the same subjegts. I can't help but learn something new.

Oh btw, Iafter I loggon on to LAtimes site, I did a copy and paste of the article and it took me right to it.

Googling it takes me to a page of books on the topic. Actually I take the newspaper itself, I was looking for the section and page where the article appears. If not....perhaps a link?

I'm not sure why the link isn't working for you guys, I'm not a LA times subscriber either. I just noticed the article on digg and copied the link here.

here is a link to the page on digg, maybe you'll find something that can work on there

http://digg.com/general_sciences/The_Science_of_the_Orgasm

I also just checked duggmirror.com as it usually has all the articles mirrored -- however it seems to be down at the moment (at least it isn't working for me).

*edit*
I just noticed one of the digg posters said they're now forcing everyone to log in. He gave a link to a service that provides some working logins.

If this works, let me know and I'll update the first post and give a link there.

*edit 2*
Oh, and to answer B Mayfield's question, it seems to appear under "Health" And strangely the article is dated February 11th so it *could* possibly be in tomorrow's paper.

I have been registered with the LA Times for a couple of years and got right to the article. There are four additional articles with links on the left side of the main article. It is good to see this kind of discussion in general public media. 🙂
