I'm not a mechanical engineer, though I've long been interested. One of my work partners was, and we talked at great length over the years about design and efficiency. When a design is done improperly, noise and inefficiency are present. The engineer will revisit the design over and over, tweaking, changing, looking for efficiency and elegance in design. This eliminates or reduces noise.
And so I've found with my journey with the Aneros. For example, the other night, I had an incredible experience. It involved shaking, and bouncing hips, but I got there by clenching everything too tightly and not breathing properly. In other words, an non-elegant, inefficient method. Noise. I was getting results, but I know from my reading that I will need to go back to the drawing board, so to speak, and look at tweaking, making changes and looking for efficiency. And like engineering, this will be a never-ending process. And one that I'm definitely enjoying and will continue to look forward to.

@Shadow66, you are bound to make many great discoveries in your Aneros journey with your mechanic engineer insights and demeanor. When I began my Aneros journey in early June 2012, I had no experience whatsoever with anal play. My very first Aneros model, Helix Syn, was a gentle introduction to anal play and prostate massage. Soon I began to observe the many delights that Aneros brought my way.

Yes, you are very correct to say that working with Aneros is a never-ending process, but also many delights Aneros brings your way.

My outlook in a session is to relax, enjoy whatever comes your way, and stay calm! In fact, I would love to design a t-shirt based on the Stay Calm meme. Instead of the crown, put in an image of an Aneros tool. Stay calm and......Can someone finish that sentence? I'm stuck at the moment.

@Shadow66, Creating a T-shirt with an Aneros tool would certainly be provocative, perhaps even here in my neighborhood in Tony Georgetown in DC. The slogan on your T-shirt underneath the Aneros would read: Stay calm and enjoy!

Yes, half of my small town Ontario wouldn't know what it meant, and the other half would be shocked! Perhaps I'd only wear it in the winter under my hoody. My little secret.

@Shadow66, I am sure there are guys here in DC who enjoy using the Aneros, but I have not met any here on Aneros.com. I am sure that a T-shirt with an Aneros tool on it and a slogan would elicit a zany response somehow here. It is a terrible shame that more men do not know about Aneros and benefits of safe prostate massage. I for one love the feel of the Aneros working away in me, but also for its health promoting qualities.

Heading in the right direction, just clench a little lighter,as you move on through the journey, you realise you need not do as much to make the magic happen. Use a scalpel, not a broadsword. 🙂

@Shadow66, I had a chuckle about your logical attitude/approach to the Aneros journey you've undertaken. What you stated was very rational and makes sense when viewed from a Descartian viewpoint of a man being a mechanism but as the biological sciences have increasingly shown in the hundreds of years since Descartes theories this dualism is dissolving into a holistic theory merging physics with meta-physics.

You are quite correct in believing this journey will be a never ending process. Your approach to tweaking and changing your technique in response to experiential results is also quite valid and will result in less 'noise' but none of this can obviate all that you have no conscious control of. This is the point at which your ego must step aside for your Id to lead and this is where rationality and logic seem to fall by the wayside, paradoxes arise and counter-intuitive techniques seem to work better at furthering the pleasure paradigm.

My outlook in a session is to relax, enjoy whatever comes your way, and stay calm!

That seems like a pretty good attitude to me, though I would also advise you to leave room for excitement to happen. Suppressing excitement to stay calm, IMHO, will be counterproductive and self limiting. The ineffable state of orgasm is inherently not calm yet we speak of the "Calm seas of Orgasm" for some men and hear about wild whole body orgasms full of tremors, shaking, out of control spasmodic muscle contractions resembling epileptic fits for others. That's certainly not staying calm.

I think @BigGlansDC quote for a T-shirt 'Stay Calm and Enjoy' is pretty good and does hint at one approach. Aneros produced one of their own T-shirts which simply said on the back 'Have Courage'. Perhaps some of our members can come up with some other good quotes for a T-shirt extolling the merits of prostate massage and add them to the thread Ideas for Spreading the Word....
Good Vibes to You !

@rumel, Wouldn't it be wonderful if I had met more guys here in DC who use the Aneros, at least on Aneros Forum! However, I did meet one, a good friend here some years ago, who enjoyed using the Aneros and told me so. Unfortunately he began experiencing serious health issues, Diabetes, which perhaps caused him to lay aside the Aneros.

On a more humorous note, the now sadly defunct BIKE Athletic Company of jockstrap fame issued a subtle ad campaign using the T-shirt with the slogan, Winners wear BIKE, on it with a picture of jockstrap! That certainly grabbed my attention! 😉
