I know there is a lot of talk about relaxing and letting the aneros do its job. I have found that if I purposely prevent the contractions by holding the aneros in or out that the tension builds more quickly within. Also if I hold the contraction in or out and move my hips or legs in a certain way that the anerous hits my pleasure spot and the tension builds even more quickily which tranforms quite easily into a super O. I just try to prevent the contraction until I can't hold it anymore and then I am off to the races. Has anyone else tried this or something similar to this to obtain a Super-O? In the begining of the session I allow the aneros to do the job, then after I am reasonably primed I use this technique to increase my pleasure.

This sounds vaguely familiar to @darwin 's try not to orgasm thread from 13 years ago. I think it just demonstrates, once again, the variety of approaches one may explore in their Aneros journey of discovery and that there is no one formula which is always successful. Being experimental in your approach is what each of us needs to adopt as we fine tune our techniques to our unique bodily responses.
Good Vibes to You !

I do this also, you learn you don’t need to push hard on this journey. As well as this,I’m always trying to do the deftly little gingerly touches, like tip toeing. This subject is touched on in @rumel ’s welcome pack when it says as you progress, you find you need to do less and less to get to where your going.

I find that even the most subtle moves can lead to great pleasure. It is a matter of being patient. By holding the contraction in or out it does not mean that the aneros is still but it is like mini contractons that continue to build until it has to be released.

For me, I lie still and enjoy the subtle buildup of pleasure for maybe 15 minutes. Then, when I am ready to ramp up the pleasure, I massage my nipples, and that brings on higher and higher levels of pleasure!

Could you be a little more clear in the initial post? What do you mean when you say “prevent contractions when holding aneros in or out” (sorry quote function doesn’t work on my phone). Do you mean involuntary contractions? By holding, do you mean keeping the aneros in one place (and any place, Fully inserted, but more or less in or out depending on muscle movement) with a combination of voluntary contractions, and thus preventing involuntary contractions? If so, that is what I do very often. For me it is creates a world of muscle contradictions that often explodes in an orgasm. And like you say there is often a moment of “can’t hold it anymore” where I relax inadvertently and the involuntaries fire off, sending the aneros up and down like a hungry little woodpecker.

I also incorporate leg movement. My favorite is on my side, rubbing the inner sides of my knees together excruciatingly slow in circles, which if you try it, you’ll see that it moves your thighs in a way that moves the pelvic basin muscles in turn. Same with basin rocking, light pelvic thrusts, thigh and buttocks contractions and releases.

Divine oblivion, yes the aneros is fully inserted. By in or out I mean either closer to the sphincter (out) which pulls it back in or the internal muscles which wants to push it back out. If I want to hold it near the sphincter I usually arch my which opens up my butt and prevents the sphincter from contracting. I can do this either on my back or my side with my legs slightly apart and slightly bent. I can then either move my legs or rotate my pelvis in a circular motion in order to hit my sweet spot. Alternatively, I can hold the aneros in closer to the internal muscles that want to push the aneros out. For this I am usually on my side in a fetal position. I can then move my pelvis in a rocking motion or a circular motion to hit my sweet spot. Some of the motions are minimal, just enough to hit the sweet spot in the right place. As I reach the climax I slow my movements even more trying to prevet myself from going over the edge. Sometimes I stop all movement to let the tension build until I can't hold off the contractions any longer. At this point my ab muscles are so tense, I am breathing so hard an so euphoric that all I can do is let go. Then I go and do it all over again and again and again. Sometimes I have to stop because my ab muscles are so exhausted.
