Tail removal warning...dunno if this has happened to anyone else...

I removed the tail from my Helix over a year ago and have used it several times a week. About a week ago while on all fours and particularly excited, I thought I was on the verge of something amazing. There was a new sensation and it felt pretty good initially. Next thing I new, the ENTIRE helix was inside my ass with the P-Tab. I quickly realized what happened and was able to hook my finger around the p-tab and pull it out. Pretty scary situation-what if I couldn't get it out?!?

Never read anything like this happening to anyone else, and wanted to issue a word of caution. I have since discarded the helix and am enjoying the use of my other toys. I actually have another helix I bought after I cut the tail off of my first one. I think the original design with the tail and p-tabs are obviously there for a reason and I would STRONGLY advise against cutting the tail off!

However, the Tempo has no tail or tab to speak of, and I'm thinking about tossing it out as well. I love the Tempo (my second favorite - and I own ALL of the models) But I really don't want to go to the emergency room to get removal assistance!!!

Any advice? I'm sure I can't be the only one!

I have docked the tails of all of my MGX, Helix, Eupho, Maximus and SYN models but with each of them have only removed the curly part of the handle so that it doesn't protrude from my backside and thus get caught on the bed when lying on my back or rolling over.

In each case, there still remains about an inch and a half (3 1/2 cm) of the tail remaining. This ensures that the tool doesn't disappear up my rectum, but also that it remains pointing in the direction it is supposed to.

Since the Tempo and Peridise models are circular in cross-section, the direction in which the tool points is not an issue. Perhaps the weight of the Tempo would prevent it from being drawn fully into the anal canal and the little hooks at the base of the Peridise would act to prevent ingestion. In any case, I've never really thought of ingestion of the tool as a problem.

I fully agree that a trip to Casualty would be embarrassing, perhaps you'll have to learn not to get so excited lol!

@pnoman - Wow! This is the first I've ever heard of this problem with a complete tail/handle removal mod from my years of reading in the forums. That would certainly be quite a scare. That being said, my Helix has had it's tail/handle completely removed for probably around four years now, and I've never had this problem. But in hindsight, probably would have preferred a partial removal like what Pommie has done. I think you've already done the proper actions by not using that particular modified Helix anymore. Not much else to do.

My SGX and Maximus are "de-tailed" to just a polished nub. I've not seen a "complete suck-in" hazard with either toy even though the 'nub' on the SGX occasionally rides inside the outer sphincter. Perhaps having an enlarged Prostate is a plus. ... rook

Same here; I'm quite perplexed as to how it got all sucked in. I've had them shoot out of my butt from a buildup of gas, pop out during O, but never suck in completely. That must've been double frustrating: not only were you in a near panic to get it out before an embarassing trip to the E.R., but you lost where you were on the path to some new form of Super-O is lost, and you will be hard-pressed to find it again. We all feel for you on that loss.
By the way, Pnoman, you were never a "size queen", were you? If so, that could explain a tailless Helix slipping in. Mine latches on the outside so deep, so far out, that I can't imagine it pulling a stunt like yours without having a stretched-out butt.

Badger,

Haha, nope. Def. not a size queen. The progasm is in no way easy to insert. Maybe just the opening of my anus is more pliable than the rest... Anywho- already tossed the old helix out. But I am super scared to try the Tempo again...

pnoman,

About the Tempo, I usually tie a short string around the base of it. That way, I'm able to relax while using it.
I haven't had any problems with it going in too far, but you never know...

I have not tried to do this but I am aware of the small end of Tempo..
May be a disk cut out of soft firm silicone with a small centre hole that can with some difficulty slid over the T end of the tempo to increase the size of the end. Silicone because it won't perish easily cleaned. I don't know if you can buy a sheet of silicone but you may be able to salvage some off something like snorkel mask. It would make it very difficult to be "sucked in". I am not sure what it would feel like.
?Also the Tempo is super smooth and the long stem may give the sphincter nothing to grip on?

@pnoman - Isvara indirectly brings up a good point. How well lubricated were you and the Helix when this happened? Meaning that if your lube had dried up on the stem, your anus would have a had a much better grip on it to pull it in beyond what it normally would go on a strong contraction. Just a hypothesis, but worth pondering.
