Does your sounding rod have a metal hole through it so you can ejaculate? I have one that is flexible and made from increasing size silicone type little footballs that probably go to around 8 mm that has a strong vibration and  is incredible but I am afraid to ejaculate even though I've read that it doesn't hurt if it goes back up into your bladder. Would love to know either the brand or the material, design and where I might find it.

Hey! I do not have one with a hole in it. Thought about it. I usually never cum when I do some sounding. Kind of a tease as I go from soft to hard back to soft over and over while sounding, and I edge a little stroking myself with it in me or just using it to fuck my urethra, which is kind of wild. It does give me whopper orgasms in my prostate! Knee buckling orgasms. 

So since you can sound with something 8mm, that is decent size, actually kinda big for sounding in my book. If you sound with a 6mm or 5mm rod or silicone, and you ejaculate, the semen is going to slip past the sound because there is a little room for it. Plus, due to the hydraulic pressure behind an ejaculation (it comes out of us around 30mph it has been studied) the orgasm and ejaculation can shoot the sound out of the penis, sometimes forcefully. I've seen long rods shoot up and out of an erection like a foot into the air and land a bit away from said erection!! The urethra, believe it or not, has loads of nerves in it and if it is done slowly, with lube and hopefully precum is flowing, and starting out small enough, sounding is extremely pleasurable through the penis alone. @loveeuphopsy Hey thanks for all that info! Do you use lube when you sound? If your meatus is hurting for 1-3 days after you doing sounding, that doesn't sound so fun. If you use lube, do you use something sterile and mild like Surgilube? I'd recommend that brand it is great. And, with a little dash of water it become extremely slick and your cock will feel amazing.

I hear ya. My longer sessions bring on more irritation too. Also, those satin-finished silicone sounds, sometimes that coating/finish winds up "sticking" to my urethra inside no matter how much lube or precum is in there. Platinum silicone never sticks, of course steel never does either. Something about that satin finish though, it irritates me and I don't use those toys anymore and I have less or no problems.

Hey Clenchy same here! I used to be soooooooo worried about infections and injuries. My first few times sounding, I bled. I didn't know what it felt like to have it pass through my prostate and it did but I didn't know it, and I met resistance so I kept pushing, and I irritated my bladder and I peed a few drops of blood 🙁  I went to the doctor the next day and I was clear and fine, no blood or infection. So I quit. Then I tried again a year later and it was worse!! So I threw that sound out. turns out it was too small to really feel. 

Last year I tried again, read up on the internet more, and learned all the protocols. I ordered some new sounds and never bled or had any real pain. I just didn't know what to do back then almost 20 years ago. 

You do have to really know what you are doing to sound safely and successfully. The only real needs to know is sterile conditions and listening to your body for warnings. Antibacterial soap cleansing of toys, hands and penis, using sterile or very clean towels or paper towels, and sterile lube is all that I use. Some guys use 99% alcohol for cleaning, some boil their sounds for 20 minutes. I have done this for a year now and have never had any issues just with soap and proper cleansing. Cross contamination is a problem if you don't pay attention and are careless.
