Experimenting with techniques last session I found that it felt really good when I'd relax and let involuntary twitching and contracting happen, but then (on my knees) quickly push my butt down against the floor and abruptly push the aneros in further.

Does anybody else try this? Like, grinding the bottom of the device against the bed or floor to increase its movement?

Is this kind of technique antagonistic towards reaching a super O? Should I rely more (or only) on involuntary movement rather than external movement or manual working of the device?

IMO, involuntaries is really the only way to go, manually moving the device whether with your hands or forcing it to move while grinding probably wont get you there. You could also cause some damage by applying too much pressure.
