I already use royal jelly as a lube but I like to coat the Aneros with "Wet", a silicone based lube. It makes it easier to insert. Any problems with this?

silicone lube, with the syn, will irreparably damage the outer silicone layer. don't do it.

From what I have read silicone is pretty indestructible except to itself. *There are some silicone products claim to be okay with very high grade silicone lube (e.g Tantus Cock Ring) *Generally however a silicone product cannot tell the difference between itself and the lubrication so they tend to merge with each other. So don't risk it. The out come (coming out) could be funny but expensive. *Not really funny.

Davo,
The following is a quote from Brian Mayfield's review of the Helix SYN in the Sticky to be found at the top of this Page:

"REMEMBER: CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO AVOID ANY LUBRICANTS CONTAINING SILICONE AS THEY WILL PERMANENTLY DEGRADE AND DAMAGE THE SYN."

I'm sure he would know! Don't use silicon-based lubricants on this device.
