Sometimes I use my Aneros devices, and experience a ton of sensation, but a lack of pleasure. Forgive me if I have trouble describing it.
I've had amazing prostate orgasms, dry orgasms, and anal orgasms; orgasms sooooo good I want to scream out in pleasure. But SOMETIMES, I get the squeezing, the tingling, the contractions, but the pleasure part is muted. The tingling and contractions feel good, like a release, but I don't quite get that "OMG this is heaven" pleasure wave.
In general, I notice this more if I use my Aneros when my muscles are already a little sore, so I wonder if this has something to do with it. But, for example, if I masturbate my penis 3 times in a day, I will feel pleasure ALL 3 times, without fail. It might be harder the 2nd or 3rd time, but the orgasm stills feels good. But that doesn't seem to be the case with the Aneros. I just sometimes get sensations that are just as strong as other times, but less pleasurable. It's almost like I wasted the orgasms.
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
@mdad,you don't say how often you have an Aneros session but it sounds to me as if you are having them too frequently. If you don't do this already, while you are in the process of rewiring, it is good to take at least one day off between sessions in order to give your body a chance to acclimatise.
Just my thoughts!
@mdad --- How frequently do you consume alcoholic drinks? I've noticed a direct negative impact on the quality of pleasure I get in my sessions after drinking. Just yesterday I was at a party where I drank, not huge quantities either, but enough for a good buzz over several hours! My sessions this morning, both with and without my Aneros were not what I usually experience, but seemed a bit dulled. Just a thought, since I know there are those of us who don't go a day without a stiff drink! I drink alcoholic drinks, maybe once every few months, but never two days in a row, nor in the same week, or same month! Since discovering Aneros, the pleasure I receive is a sufficient substitute for the need to drink!

To answer your questions, I try to have more Aneros-less sessions to keep prostate tenderness in check. But I probably spent more time in last few days working on prostate pleasure, with AND without Aneros. Total time with Aneros, maybe 2 hours today, none the previous week.
And no, I don't drink much these days. I'm too cheap plus it's not recommended with any of my medications. I'm a cheap date.
Pommie, he is already rewired? he is having orgasms, not something i can say i have at the moment. I feel as though i am 'rewiring' he is pretty much already there.
But then again isn't this all normal? "dud sessions happen to us all", right?
mdad: can't believe I'm going to say this but, enjoy where you are. You may get failures but you have already experienced dry o's and super o's not something i can say i have experienced and I have been at this for YEARS. So, relax, chill and enjoy the sessions where you get feelings. One question i would ask you mdad is this: what is your technique in detail? perhaps it is this that causes overstimulation and prostate 'numbness' but would love to know how you undertake your sessions (contraction type, strength etc)
@mdad --- No drinking seems, IMHO, to help rather than hinder, so as @inhope suggested, it could have been just a dud session as I believe we all get on occassion.
I also, have had those types of sessions last longer, in which case, I just persist with my sessions, or take a break for a while because the pleasure does return when the body and mind are ready!

I'm all too familiar with dud sessions. I get those all the time, too. Yes, @inhope, I definitely appreciate where I am. It's just weird that I got all the contractions, even tingling and head rushing, but not the "pleasure" part during this last session. I even felt relaxed after it.
@inhope, as far as my technique goes, I pretty much use the "do nothing" approach, mixing in light contractions. I also have always incorporated aneros-less sessions into my routine, from day 1. My prostate gets tender, so I've always made it a priority to get in touch with the sensations with nothing inserted. Maybe this is an important technique?
