This is a question for the more seasoned aneros vets. On this forum there are some guys who get the aneros to work on the 1st try and some who never seem to get it to work no matter what they do. I’m in the latter category. I’m thinking that the secret to getting the aneros to work is a change in mindset. I think guys that can access and accept the feminine side have an easier time cumming from the aneros. I think if you have trouble cumming from aneros you tend to have trouble letting Your manly side go a little bit and have to trouble embracing a more feminine mindset. not sure I explained this right but seasoned aneros vets let me know if I’m on the right track?

You didn't say what you mean by "getting it to work"? When you perform your sessions, what do you feel? You should feel some subtle "tickles" on your prostate and surrounding areas. Does the inserted Aneros give you an erection? If you can be more specific on your session results, that would be very helpful!
I’m usually limp when it’s inserted although I have had some times where I got a slight chubby. I do sometimes feel some good feelings nothing I would consider like an orgasm or anything near that. Sometimes I get nothing at all. When I say getting it to work I mean I have not been able to have a dry o or a super orgasm.
@aneros_user113118 In all honesty, I haven't had a dry-O or a super-O in well over a year-and-a-half. But that does not stop me from enjoying my Aneros sessions. If you can aim for sessions where you start aroused, you will probably feel more. Remember, though, to keep your expectations very low. It is counterproductive to expect much more.

Look at it this way, please: You don't get the aneros to work, the aneros gets YOU to work!
All the magic is inside you, man. Give it time. Enjoy your sensations while never forgetting you are a complex, beautifully-crafted miracle. The aneros will help you be more aware of what is already there. That is why, given time, you may not need a device at all, as you have 'awoken' new places in your brain, prostate, and whole body.
ENjoy the journey, for it IS a journey.

Recently I've started having some tickles like that, at least I think I do. Is this a good thing, and... once you have that, what should you be doing? Is it a case of just wait and see? or Should you relax completely and Do Nothing, or should you try some contractions?
@lonewolf8 Once the tickling starts, lately for me, instead of "doing-nothing" I will very SLOWLY start a contraction and try to hold it. Usually what happens with me is that I will get an involuntary "reverse" contraction (release kegel) and that sets me up for the next regular contraction (sometimes auto-f). But don't overdo it or you may spoil the fun! In time, if your prostate is ready, you can try for quicker contractions and see what develops. Sometimes you can feel you heartbeat through the Aneros. If you feel like moaning, do so! It will help the arousal. If you reach this point, you may want to "tickle" your cock or at least look for some precum; it should be there and will help with arousal. IMHO, a session consisting only of prostate "tickles" is a good session!

I'm thinking you are absolutely correct and this is something that I have been pointing out for years. I and many others have made posts which address this issue frequently; see @Cockadoodle ’s thread Penis, NOT and @rook 's thread Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side & "zoneros" for a little insight. It might also help you to read @neros 's post The truth behind how to "rewire", @flexxor 's post To those still waiting and WANT to get that "Super O"; Here's how....
The path to prostate based orgasms does require a different mindset from the traditional penile stimulation approach. Here is where the male ego and concepts of proper male behavior weigh heavily on a successful orgasmic process. Aneros use may create new paradoxes for many men as they struggle to accommodate the necessary paradigm shift in thinking, one needs to let go of the traditional notion of controlling the action and results as dictated by your ego consciousness. The immense interest in the "Pegging" thread attests to our members openness to alternative pleasure paths. This is another paradigm shift in thinking for most men, from assertive/aggressive/penetrative control to a passive/submissive/receptive surrender of control to your own subconscious. This is not about relinquishing control of your life to another human being nor is it a power exchange or any form of Dominance/submission scene, it is about suspending egocentric judgment so the powerful richness of your primitive self can be expressed through your body's pleasure.
Good Vibes to You !
Have found after a little over a year with Aneros, the main key for me is to
relax! Had the misconception that the size of
the tool was important but as my journey progresses, even the small Tempo and EuphoSyn have provided amazing results. Totally relaxing my mind AND my anal canal are essential to getting things moving! Getting the tool in far enough to hit the sweet spot and then wait for
things to begin! Don't try to force things just relax. When I begin to feel p waves I begin focused breathing and kegels. No super Os yet but awesome waves of pure please which go on and on!
I wrote couple thousand word essay over on this thread.
