LOL A very young Schwarzenegger. I wonder if he understood what he was saying at the time and meant it? Or if this was the result of his lack of mastery of the English language shortly after, {clears throat}, coming to America. LOL

He most definitely understood what he was saying. The clip is an excerpt from the 1977 documentary "Pumping Iron" and while Arnold's accent was probably at it's thickest here, his understanding of English slang and idioms was very good indeed. Schwarzenegger was fully on display in this film as an emerging media personality. The guy was/is physically larger than life and had a personality to match! The dialogue from the complete scene makes it pretty clear where he was coming from!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: "It's as satisfying to me as, uh, coming is, you know? As, ah, having sex with a woman and coming. And so can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven.

Ok, you got me, this wasn't Arnie describing how Aneros improved his life,but it COULD HAVE been.Coz aren't we all just coming day and night?
I purposely edited the beginning out so someone acquainted with the Aneros experience could relate to it.
Saying it was the same as sex with a woman would give it away 😉

Bmayfield is right on. The governator showed himself to be quite smart, charming and funny in that movie. I think most people have discounted Arnold over the years, but the fact is that he is one of the more interested characters in the last 50 years.

Thanks for the explanation Brian. That was one of his films that I did not see, and didn't realize that clip was taken out of context.
