Questions about anal sensitivity

Hello! Haven't been here in a while. Though I'd ask a question or two.

I haven't been very diligent lately in regards to session frequency, and I've never had a whole lot of luck in regards to progressing.

Here's what's different from when I started:

Can sometimes feel pleasure from anus (sometimes more often if I have had session or two recently)
Have at least a couple other areas where I can get pleasure sometimes. Every once in a while I can stroke webbing between index and middle, or middle and ring finger on left hand and get nice sensation, or from side of right breast, near armpit. Sometimes can feel pleasure from stomach, usually during a session.
Nipples are sensitive to some degree. More so when aroused or having session.
Sensations from other areas also seem to be somewhat heightened during session.

I was wondering if there was any methods of increasing anal sensitivity. Last few days, I've started doing a sort of routine.

After I get off of work, I'll sit down and relax with some tea. I'll do some yoga, then take a shower. After shower, may have a session (depending on if I'm ready/aroused)

Last couple of sessions, I would lay down and let whatever happen for about 15-20 minutes, and then move the aneros manually. I feel this has enhanced my last couple of orgasms (traditional orgasms) and helped me to feel more from my rear after the sessions.

I know that most here recommend sitting still and just concentrating on what I feel from that, but I've had some fun my last couple of sessions and wonder if that will perhaps help.

I feel that having a relaxing routine may help relax and concentrate on the feelings once laying down and being still, and I feel that it may help me get back into the habit of having aneros sessions.

Could anal masturbation possibly help gain sensitivity? And could that sensitivity help when laying still and concentrating on the smaller feelings from the area?

Short answer: yes, absolutely!

I'm not quite sure what "anal masturbation" means exactly for you, but I guess you mean sticking things up your bum. I would recommend to stimulate your anal sphincter only from the outside with a (lubed) finger. Do it slow (or very slow) and try to interpret the sensations you create as arousing. So as if you were touching your penis.

With this approach I unlocked/rewired my anus, my perineum-spot and my nipples. Your brain has to learn to recognize the input from these areas as arousing. And the brain works best through practice and repetition. When your brain eventually acknowledges these areas as hot spots, they start to tingle on their own when you are horny (their way to tell you, that they want to be touched).

Cheers, Unfug

By "anal masturbation" I meant manual manipulation of the Aneros massager. In other words, going in and out or rotating/tilting it. I haven't stuck much else up my bum lol.

Also, I try to avoid using my finger, as I usually end up scratching myself inside a bit on the corners of my nails. Unless you mean using the pad of the finger to rub the outside. Should have read you post a second time lol.

Anyway, thanks for the response!

I do feel feelings from anus and nipples when I'm aroused, and usually more so when I've had sessions recently. That makes sense, using repetition and letting the brain see those things as arousing. I might have to try sensitizing my perineum that way as you described you did. I have made my nipples and anus sensitive after all, why not try sensitizing my perineum as well?

Not sure if you are having orgasms with the aneros, but if you are then try moving the orgasm into the anus by focusing on the area and allowing the orgasm to happen there. Anal orgasms can be quite amazing. Takes a bit of practice, but not too difficult, and well worth it.

I've never had an orgasm from sitting still with the aneros, but through manual stimulation I have had a few times where a traditional orgasm seemed to spread through my anus. Really nice when that happens...

I've read a post that mentioned that you shouldn't empty your mind during a session, but rather be mindful of what's happening, focused. A zen state.

I'm going to practice focusing on sensations and whatnot.

It can be frustrating practicing this sort of thing, focusing on something you want badly but not getting more out of it most of the time. But it's good to practice a calm mindset, and practice it without becoming too invested in the outcome to enjoy the now.

Also, yoga is probably one of many good ways to practice a zen mindset.

You're focused only deep breathing, balance, and holding the post. Very mindful and in the now. Especially since you'd probably fall over if you didn't concentrate on what you're doing.

@Jspad,

everybody takes their own approach, but i wouldn't encourage manual manipulation of the aneros. it might be ok a little at the start, but going this direction might defeat the process of your pelvic muscles learning to move it.

i think @Unfug's suggestion of using your finger on your bum is better.

I can't really move it all that much, though I suppose it doesn't need to move all that much. I've been at it for at least two or three years now, not sure how much more I can learn in regards to moving the muscles down there. I do spend at least some time each session just relaxing and trying to listen. Should some of that time be spent contracting? I usually just try to sit still and relax that area.

There is an easy answer for that: Can you sense and move at least 10 different muscles independently in your pelvic area? If the answer is "no", then there is still more to learn 😉

But you are right, big movements of the aneros are not neccessary. Still, it's a good idea to spend some time practicing a-less contractions. But the goal should not be to build up strengh but control and sensory awareness / sensitivity.

One last thing: a really great tool to build up anal sensitivity is the peridise (I wonder why nobody came up with this so far).

Cheers, Unfug

I don't really know how to count the muscles, considering it all just kind of blends together. Do you think looking at a diagram of the muscles would help gain an understanding?

Also, I actually have the Peridise set, just haven't used them in a while. Been using the Helix Syn lately, the other night the Eupho Syn. Think I'll stick with the Helix for now. Might try using the Peridise sometime.

I've been focusing inside lately, and I think it's bringing about more feelings of pleasure, usually not very/at all pleasurable in wide areas and sometimes stronger nice feelings sometimes.

I think it's already helping me make these feelings stronger.

I can attest to the tingling! I never use to feel tingling in my balls/prostate, but now when I get horny I definitely feel tingling. The funny part is, I never do anything with my balls.

Last night, after crawling into bed for the night, I tried massaging my perineum and got some really nice feelings. This is quite interesting, because it's never given me any pleasurable sensations before.

Can't remember if/where I posted or if I just thought it, but I thought I'd try playing with my perineum like my nipples, since they used to be dead to me too.

I think like with my nipples though, I have to learn how to be gentle enough while remaining persistent. It can be a tender area.

Well, it certainly did for me.

Nice - Keep it up!

I had a session this afternoon, and it was really nice.

I decided to take up to an hour for just doing the normal thing. Ended up being 50 minutes rather, but still.

Had a really nice session! I'm still feeling nice sensations as I sit down tonight to type this.

Lots of nice sensations, moderately erotic sensations from inside. I think I can tell the difference between feelings in the anus, feelings in the penis, and feelings somewhere in the middle, inside or around the perineum.

After the session, I masturbated like normal. Even after, while I was taking a shower, I gently rubbed part of my anus. It was immediately responsive, and moderately erotic feeling. Really nice stuff!

This kind of level of sensitivity is what I've been dreaming of. I know there's a lot more to discover, but for recently getting back to practicing this stuff seriously, this is pretty cool.
