I’ve read that some practice SR..but I’d like to know..say you are on day 5 of sr,I mean nothing done at all,no edging,no sex,no nothing..if you were have an Aneros session on said day,you have fun,no ejaculation,is the next day number 6? Or has the fluid that’s been milked out set your SR back to day zero? Tia

I think it depends on your attitude and your intent. You get to set the standard for yourself when it comes to such a personal activity. I think it kind of depends on the intent, extent and composition of fluid 'milked' out. If the fluid is just a little precum then there really was no semen released. If there was just a little prostate fluid leaked due to massage action then again the full composition of seminal fluid was not released. If your Anerosession resulted in a fluid release from both the prostate and the seminal vesicles then you should ask yourself if the release was intentional or incidental. If the release was incidental and minor then, IMHO, it does not warrant a setback to zero days, however, if the release was intentional or substantial in volume then, IMHO, it would constitute a valid date reset for subsequent semen retention practice. Understand this is just my opinion and your opinion on this is every bit as valid.

I have been participating in SR. My attitude towards it has been if I dont have an actual ejaculation then I keep counting the days. I follow the Mantak Chia principles so leakage is fine
@rumel when I have an Aneros session or Aless session,I expel quite a bit of fluid, always,it is clear, should I touch it and lift my finger,it is stringy, just like raw egg white..
i just wondered is SR simply non-ejaculation,or do sessions compromise it..
@darkbond So if you give the prostate a good milking, you’d still consider yourself Semen retentive?

Clear, sticky/stringy fluid is most likely just precum from the Cowper's gland, this fluid is NOT considered a significant component of a man's semen. As such I wouldn't consider such emissions as any kind of semen release, your day count for semen retention can continue uninterrupted. IMHO, semen retention is more than just non-ejaculation, if you perform a true and complete 'milking', you have accomplished the same thing as an ejaculation and as such your semen retention regime is reset. I don't think Anerosessions compromise the spirit of a semen retention regime unless one intentionally directs the massaging into a 'milking'. As I previously noted, I don't think incidental prostate fluid leakage really constitutes a violation of the semen retention concept.

What rumel said. If you end up milking ur prostate then you have a reset. But just leaking from prostate stimulation no. I dont practice milking so the only way semen leaves my body is via ejaculation.
My use of "SR" within my blogs and posts signifies days since my last penile ejaculation (TOs including ruined orgasms) usually through edging or regular masturbation. I don't count any incidental leakage from my Aneros sessions. Nor would I count a wet dream release, since that would not be under my direct control.
In my sessions I leak some Precum, some prostatic fluid, and sometimes some semen. The key for me is that none of this invokes the refractory period or the cascade of chemicals from which I have to recover.
So so for me at least, the key for ending semen retention is the I invoking or bringing on of the refractory period.
I am in day 8 of my SR, and I know my T levels are high because of the normal horniness I feel the longer I wait to ejaculate, even though I have had a number of Aneros sessions with plenty of precum along the way. I am curious however, at the comments that differentiate between milking and precum that I always assumed were one in the same. Along with the pleasure of milking, I have enjoyed the health benefit of fushing out my prostate of residual fluids or bacteria, etc. My experience would seem to verify that precum does not constitute a reset. Is my understanding accurate?
Precum for me denotes arousal-nothing more.
My SR begins again for me with a full blown ejaculatiin where I intended to ejaculate and all this is followed by a flaccid dick, a feeling of being non sexual bereft of any horniness, libido, and any sex drive.
... how are you supposed to tell the difference, I figured when the Aneros is massaging your prostate, and fluid is leaking out, that that is your prostate being milked, unavoidable if you like..
The primary fluids being expressed here are pre-ejaculate from the Cowper's gland, prostatic fluid from the prostate and seminal fluid from the seminal vesicles. Pre-ejaculate fluid is clear, rather viscous and somewhat sweet tasting, it is not a substantial component of semen (0%-1%). Prostate fluid is pearly translucent, somewhat watery, acidic in taste and constitutes 25%-30% of semen content. Seminal fluid constitutes the majority (65%-75%) of semen volume, it is a whitish-yellowish opaque, viscous complex of alkaline compounds. Sperm from the testes only constitutes 2%-5% of semen volume.
Your Aneros massager may or may not be able to 'milk' these fluids depending on your PC/BC muscle strength, endurance and resolve to accomplish a 'milking'. I think milking is only "...unavoidable..." for a few individuals or we would have heard more about it on this forum. Of particular note is the fact many men report increased precum emissions due to their Aneros usage (please see the user Poll How much precum (Cowper's gland secretion) do you produce?)

Yeah. I try to keep it somple. If its not a penile ejaculation then my SR is good. I have yet to ejaculate from aneros or anerosless play. For others it may be different.
