Prostate Biopsy leaves me wanting

Slightly elevated PSA (4.7) lead my U doc to do a prostate biopsy. Maybe I'm different but that hurt like a mother F'ker, narcotics required. Tons-O-pain then serious blood in my semen, after one week off, then brown stuff for three weeks, now clear. Waited a full month to try any Aneros activity and felt nothing. I expected some difficulty but not a complete dud. I feel like I'm starting all over again.:(

Anyone have this experience? Did the O's come back, maybe slowly?

MO_Bosco,

Yes, I've had a prostate biopsy performed, but my urologist provided a local anesthetic prior to performing the procedure so there wasn't a lot of pain. I'm sorry to hear yours wasn't as caring, if he did provide anesthetic perhaps he didn't allow enough time for it to take effect before making the biopsy shots, for me, the sound from the needle gun was more disturbing than the sensations endured. I can sympathize with you, after the anesthetic wore off a couple of Vicodin tabs for the following 24 hrs made the discomfort bearable but it is still something I do not want to experience again.
It took me over a month to see blood free semen again and several months after that to once again experience a dry-O. A biopsy on such a sensitive organ as the prostate is a traumatic assault and takes some time to go through a healing. I hope your healing proceeds rapidly.
Good Vibes to You !

Thanks @rumel for the info. I will have patients and look forward to the months ahead.
