I'm wondering if any of you have been able to make progress without tools to boost arousal (e.g. porn, fantasy, etc.).

I've experimented with arousal, and there are certainly unique and pleasant sensations which are only experienced through that method, but there seems to be a plateau here that I'm unable to pass. Also, I'm not a fan of how 'artificially generated' arousal makes me feel (both mentally and physically).

I do sometimes use the Aneros while doing something else non-sexual (e.g. reading, gaming, etc.), and consistently get a warm pleasant sensation which is quite different than what is felt when aroused. I'm planning to thoroughly and exclusively explore that now to see whether it's something which grows over time, but wanted to see if there's already some information/opinions on this strategy already in the community.

@EtcEtcEtc, I am essentially on a non arousal path. It is perhaps an age thing. It also may be why my progress is slower. I relax and sort of let it happen. Often my ?prostate pulsed when just lying down it is pleasant but not dramatic. With Aneros I get many smaller pulses and on the edge of sleep (detached) they can be continuous and promising. I have not got anywhere near a super O. I can see how real non penile arousal would/could increase prostate response.

Have you never had a dry orgasm @isvara? Why not try the arousal path, you may get one...

@Sorena, good questions. I have perhaps got into a bit of a rut. I will revisit arousal.

@EtcEtcEtc What you refer to as "arousal" some call horniness... And yes, it's hindering relaxation and thus hindering deep orgasm development. Some call this development "arousal"... Many different meanings for arousal.

You not being a fan of the sensations you get when sessioning with artificial stimulation says something.

Trust your tastes and senses. Experiment and enjoy.
