I'm wondering if anyone has the Progasm Ice (clear) and the Black Ice and if they are the same texture and feel? I'm wondering if it is just a simple difference in color, yet for some reason, I don't think so.

I believe they are the same except for the color. When I bought my P-Ice, I had both in my hands and they felt the same.

It's confirmed; they are of the same material. I dug through some emails I exchanged with Aneros Support when I asked for some advise on my next model. Here is an exert of their answer:

"The only difference in the Progasm devices is the material. The Progasm Classic is made from medical grade plastic and is matte, while the Ice series is made from the Copolyester and has a glossy shine."

My experience in hand washing my ProJr. (Black Ice surface) and my Progasm Ice (transparent with bubbles) is that they are very similar surface-wise and I lean to what @GGringo offered. That said, there was a post on the blog several months ago noting that there are differences in the current crop of Progasm variants that are affected by temperature. So, if Aneros support cannot (or will not) answer this query it might be interesting to get some specifics from the "Aneros User."

Late note: I use vegetable based (oily) lubes so my observations don't apply to how the various surfaces might behave with Water-based or Silicone lubes.

It was my understanding that the Classic was made of polystyrene, the same plastic that your model cars, airplanes, military vehicles, etc., were made of, and the Ice was a polycarbonate, like your glasses lenses.

So I've been doing the math and I'm wondering if my calculations are right. The head of the progasm seems to be almost 6 inches in girth? Is that correct? I know it's wide but the math seems too big girth wise, even though it seems to be spot on for the other toys I have. So any owner please advise. I'm still talking about the progasm

I believe your math calculations are incorrect, per the specifications, the tip width is 3/4", which yields a girth of 2.36"(5.98cm), the mid-ridge width is 15/16", which yields a girth of 2.95"(7.48cm). These are not large devices when compared to other sex toys/dildos/plugs.

It is my understanding the Progasm ICE and Progasm Black ICE are made from the same type of plastic (a variant of Dupont's 'Tritan'). Good Vibes to You !
