Progasm Discomfort

This has probably been covered before in an earlier post but I'm an new user of the Progasm and have been uncomfortable wearing it from time to time. I'm used to anal play and didn't think that the Progasm was particularly large when it arrived ahead of my MGX so I eagerly slipped it in after proper prep. I had three different sessions my first day and the last one which was in bed (privately) at night was very active and exciting, though it also verged on hurting some of the time. I've experience anal pain from some objects before because some seem to hit the wrong place while others seem to settle in and provide pleasure.

I tried the Progasm again last night and was intent on wearing it to sleep so that I might get closed to a breakthrough. I slipped into bed after my wife was already asleep so I didn't have to "explain" anything. However, I had a difficult time getting settled because the damn thing just kept punching me in the prostate back and forth until it went from uncomfortable to actually hurting. I took it out, re-lubed it generously and tried again. After a few minutes it began to hurt again and no position was comfortable so I took it out completly in the bathroom and put it away, sort of disappointed.

So, what might i be doing wrong here? I was using Vaseline and olive oil the last time, then put more Vaseline on later. The night before I'd used Vaseline coated over by AstroGlide gel, and with 5 ML of AstroGlide X squirted up into my anal cavity to keep everything nice and slippery (too slippery I think in that case).

Did I start with the wrong product as a newbie? Wrong lube? Bad idea to sleep with the "big boy" too early?

Does anyone have suggestions for avoiding Aneros product discomfort in general and/or how to tell if you're hurting yourself seriously (no, no blood in this case...that would've flipper me out!).

Thanks! acethebass

My first anal toy ever was a Progasm also, and I use the same lubing procedure (pre-lube , Vaseline and Astroglide on Progasm) as you. Also, I'm short (5'6") so it would seem that I chose exactly the wrong model to start off with. But I didn't. I sleep with my Progasm in quite often. As long as I use sufficient lube and insert the Progasm with a scooping motion, it's fine. But it seems you are having trouble only after it is in place (punching you in the prostate, as you phrased it.) I can think of 3 possibilities: (1) Are you taking an enema first? Because of the size of the Progasm I believe this to be essential, (2) Are you short of stature? If so, your anal cavity simply may be too short to allow the Progasm to fit comfortably. And (3) Is your prostate enlarged? Possibly the larger size and resulting tenderness from an enlarged prostate may be exaggerating the force that the Progasm is exerting on you. I hope you can resolve this, because once you get used to it I'm sure you'll find the Pro to be a great ride!

Ace;

I'm not sure I can be of much help here. I've never used a Progasm though I have been using a VICE for over 2 weeks. Except for a couple nights with Eupho lately, I always sleep with the VICE inserted and use the same lube system you do: Vaseline covered in Olive Oil. VICE is as big as Progasm but made of a softer material. Nonetheless, on several occasions it has gone from pleasurable to uncomfortable due to excessive "pounding" of my prostate. Although the contractions were involuntary at all times, the pounding started when I used the pulse-pulse setting of the vibrator. I think that caused the contractions to become too energetic.

Since you didn't mention it, I assume you were not using a vibrator with the Progasm, so your situation is different from mine. Generally speaking, your body won't do anything to hurt itself when left on its own. Could be, you added a little something by way of voluntary "help" to the involuntary contractions, thus boosting them into overdrive?

Best Regards,

Dave

acethebass-

if it hurts DO NOT DO IT. i cannot emphasize that enough. you have the signs of being over-eager, so chill a little. the most important thing to remember is that the aneros should have subtle movement, it is not like getting boinked, and if you have been using large muscles to move it around (like your hand or thrusting), that can be too much. it has contact with some very sensitive organs in your body that you do not want to piss off.

so the first thing you have to do is give it a multi-day rest. you want any aggravation you have introduced to heal completely before you try it again. completely. otherwise it will get worse not better, and you'll have a $75 paper weight. then, try again, and go for no motion at all. see if you can get pleasure the subtle way. if you feel pain, out she comes.

if you continue to feel pain from the progasm, then it might be you need to find a different model. the peridise line is favored by many and has the least prostate contact by far.

following up on ten_s_nut's idea, how is your pee stream? if it is weak then maybe you do have an enlarged prostate, in which case you might need a digital rectal exam by your doctor.

take it from me, you do not want to mess with prostate pain. that is the road to hell.

Me thinks you got a bit aggressive with yourself. Going back to your first post, just two days ago:

... So, I began to practice with contractions and as I did, I remembered the "suck in" and "push out" movements that others had described. I tried it and God, I started to REALLY enjoy the feeling. ...

... I found that I could make the mighty Progasm fuck the hell out of me by squeezing and pushing it in rapid order. Since I was SOOOO lubed, it slid in and out furiously and it would sometimes suck it up as high as I could go...an awesome feeling... and then I'd "shit it out" to ram me again.

You are doing OK and once you get the novelty out of your blood, you'll settle in just fine! Your douche and lube routine sounds OK.

The other gent's comments seem spot on and I think that most of us tend to get aggressive right out of the gate.

Please take a two or three day break, get over the bruising. I'd suggest not sleeping with the Progasm at first. Posture changes or sudden muscle moves when you first awaken can yield another bruise. Suggest start your sleeping practices with something that allows more canal and rectum flex like the SGX or larger Peridise. Or, the Vice ... which offers some flex when the vibe capsule is removed.

Yeah, I think I just "floored it" a bit too much the first few days because I was just astounded at what was going on in my bum. I've never had any of those sensations before and some of them I'd always wondered about, though they are probably unique to Aneros products rather than gay sex as such. The Progasm is definitely an ass-full and though my prostate is normal (I had a check-up a couple of months ago, including the lubed, gloved Doctor's finger "up there") I think that I just went a little too wild with letting myself make it fuck me. I have very strong core and abs as well as kegel muscles so I just went to town with it immediately. Now I'm little sore as a result, I guess.

The good news it that my Peridise beginners set arrived today and, like the Aneros slut that I am now, I lubed and popped the bigger one in immediately (actually during a business conference call in my home office, which felt very naughty...right out of the package and hide in plain sight!). Oh well. Boys will be boys will be sluts. Anyway, this slim little SilvaThins of a product is very comfortable and I wore it most of the afternoon, even to walk the dogs. A world of difference in sensation as well as comfort, particularly after the Progasm ass rape that I laid on myself last night. I feel confident that I can sleep with this little colonic invader and not wake up needing to call the Paramedics. In fact, I lay down with it for a while and found that I could sort of "sweep" it across my insides laterally, creating a very interesting and pleasurable sensation. I might even wake up tomorrow like it was Christmas morning with a big hard-on, a pool of precum and some euphoria! Here's hoping.

ace, i wonder if you are you predisposed to overdoing things. like rook, i suggest you limit yourself at this point to an hour or two session every couple of days, rather that subjecting your innards to prolonged battering.

i do not recommend keeping these devices in for longer than that. while some guys do it, it doesn't advance your body's ability to learn how to make the devices hum. if anything it will irritate and desensitize the tissues in there, and may even cause injury, etc.

Yeah, I second Darwin, just slow down a bit...RELAX...some and take it easy and try to get some "reprogramming" done on your new found aneros sensations. I had a really hard time with the Progasm at first, and this after having an SGX for several months of sweet success! Check out the Progasm users forum....and experiment with lubes and what your body tells you, not your mind!
