I had a massage at a spa this weekend and ended up leaking a noticeable amount of pre-cum. While I was very very relaxed, I wasn't turned on at all. I admit that I did have a few (very few) involuntary contractions as does happen when I relax. But, I was surprised at all the pre-cum. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm sure this would not have happened prior to my starting aneros use.

Me, too. It has happened nearly every time I have gotten a professional massage, which is about five times.

Absolutely. I'm a professional bodyworker. More than half of my clients will produce pre-cum during a session. Some more than others. I really enjoy seeing a man so comfortable with himself that he allows his body to just go with the flow so to speak. And every guy will become erect during some part of the massage, even though they might not want to admit it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting these natural functions happen spontaneously. I also offer prostate massage to my clients that are interested, so i'm aware of the amazing deep orgasms that can be had with safe massage. I was personally introduced to the pleasures of the Aneros recently by a client that bought me one. Needless to say i'm a believer now and no longer the skeptic. I'm not a pre-cummer until i've been at it for a while.. but now with the addition of this amazing toy, I find myself producing more and more with each session... Can't be all bad.. right?

I had a somewhat embarrassing massage awhile back. It was during a time when I was in like a 24 hour high sexual energy zone where I could feel pwaves all day long without even trying or thinking about it. It was during the time that just by simply relaxing I would instantly go into MMO's. Man I miss those times. Anyways I got a massage from a guy masseuse which I don't normally do. I normally opt of a girl. Anways during the massage it didn't take long before I was MMO'ing and I was really trying to not show it. I'm trying to just relax but there's just no stopping it. Then all of a sudden bam I get hit by a traditional wet orgasm! I was so damn embarrassed. I could even feel it coming on and was in the moment of telling the masseuse to stop but it was too late. He knew what happened too. Now I'm afraid to go in for a massage anymore. The erection while getting a massage from a girl was always something that I was worried about. But during that waking up my prostate time period the erection was the least of my worries. Now I was worried to have full blown super o's let alone ejaculate during a massage. The ejaculation happened because I was already in intense pleasure then he started doing this massaging my stomach muscles and just getting too close to the pubic bone area and hitting that spot just pushed me over the edge.
Sorry not exactly on topic of pre-cumming during the massage but kinda similar.

dtmsmith,

On the matter of oozing precum when one is not necessarily "aroused", I've noticed this at times as well, and I've long suspected that this is a direct result of the "rewiring " that I've written about in the past. Once one has been awakened in this way, there is very often a sub-threshold degree of arousal present from then on. It's like something that's in the background, in a low idle... waiting to be stirred into action. On occasion this background arousal generates small amounts of precum, particular with those who are given to producing it. This is nothing to be concerned about, it's just another sign post along the path to the Super O.

steveg2611,

I'm curious if you have contact with any others in your profession, and if they have an awareness of the Aneros? It's great to have you on board with us! Welcome.

BF Mayfield. No I don't but now that i've become a believer and user, I will get the word out. Im in a college town of about 120,000. Not huge, and there aren't that many massage therapists. I would certainly like to share my newfound experiences with other bodyworkers. I'll keep you informed.

While a little off-topic, I'm wanted to follow-up on your "erection during massage" comment. I've only received four professional massages in my life that were intended to be relaxing (the other ones were therapeutic for neck problems). Of these four, two of them were in asia where erections and sexual contact were part of the deal. During the other two, I was a little self-conscious about getting an erection. My worrying about this kept me from relaxing completely. So, how often do guys get erections when you give massages? Do you trade notes with female masseuses about this? If so, what is their experience? What do they think when a man gets an erection during a massage? How do they handle the situation? If getting an erection is generally expected and acceptable, maybe I'll just let it happen next time.

Hi drmsmith. As I said, almost every man I massage will become erect at some point during the session, unless he's asleep.. So. my question to you is, How well do you now your bodyworker? Is he/she new to you? The self-conscious thing creeps into our lives with regularity and it shouldn't, especially when you about to embark on something that should be totally enjoyable and with as little angst as possible. I try to be intuitive with my clients. Listening to their bodies and watching their reactions as the session proceeds.
Prostate massage and genital massage is as intimate as you can be with a person short of intercourse.
I personally don't trade techniques or converse with other bodyworkers.. Maybe thats just me.. But i can bet "they" have the same experiences. I have men that stay completely draped during the whole massage and i also have men that prefer to be totally naked on my table. Erections happen whether covered or not. The new client that comes to me and has an erection is the one that feels self conscious. its natural to feel that way, I let them know its fine. If he isn't too up-tight, i might say something like "So i see it works just fine" . Try to get them to relax. Maybe that too simplistic an answer, but its a hell of a lot better that having them freak out or want to stop the session and leave.
I don't know where you are or where you get your massages. I would say that bodywork at a professional spa or health club will be more restrictive than a personal studio.
What i can tell you is, if you are totally comfortable in your own sexuality, then you have opened yourself up for the ultimate experience. Sadly bodywork has such a bad reputation. As you open up more and just let it happen, it becomes the bodyworker that must decide and not you. If you find yourself responding to the touch and become aroused, and he/she responds negatively, it becomes his issue, not yours.. As far as I'm concerned, when my client gets a boner and starts producing precum I take it as a compliment to my ability as a bodyworker. With or without an orgasm. So relax, enjoy it. stop obsessing, go with it and keep enjoying your aneros. It's all good.

Thanks for the response. I want to be clear...when I've gone for a massage (at least in the US), I haven't been looking for any sexual contact. My massages have been in spas so I wouldn't expect anything like this to happen. And, if I got an erection, I would want/need to act on it in any way. What I was trying to figure out is whether or not a masseuse working in a spa would be surprised or uncomfortable if a client gets an erection. Obviously, it depends on the person. But, if it's normal for this to happen and the masseuse is experienced, it seems like she would expect it. As I said, I'd probably relax a bit more if I wasn't preoccupied with getting an erection.

dtmsmith,

I'm interested to see what Steve's take on this is. My view is that any massage professional worth their salt has had this happen numerous times (if they serve male clients). I've spoken to several masseuses that I know personally, and they've told me that it simply goes with the territory. That said, there's a difference between tolerating an erection and indulging it. Your average spa masseuse is not about erotic massage or therapeutic massage of the genitals. If they witness an erection they either ignore it or make a comment like Steve did....something light-hearted that takes the edge off of the situation. There shouldn't be any shame in this. If it is an erotic or genital centered massage, then an erection is to be expected.

Exactly, I can't be the only massage therapist that has seen a boner. LOL.... Its part of the whole experience. Nothing to be ashamed of or cause you to be anxious or up tight. Just be glad you CAN get it up.. That was a joke.
dtmsmith, you say you would relax more if you weren't preoccupied about getting an erection. What do you feel is so wrong about having an erection? I'm not picking on you, just curious. Making sure my clients totally relaxed and in a safe place is my goal. so that if and when an erection does happen, it can be celebrated and not something to be ashamed of.
Don't me to veer too of topic, but just relax and enjoy..

I'm sure it's not the first time that has ever happened. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Like the others said, relax and enjoy.

I've been known to ooze a lot of precum, even without an erection.

There's obviously nothing wrong with an erection, per se. But, erections aren't appropriate or expected in all situations. It sounds massages are a situation where erections aren't all that big a deal.

Ya I had always thought the getting an erection during a massage was not a good thing. What I mean by this is that I've always considered a massage as a very relaxing experience. Not a sexual one or something to be turned on by. As in it massage serves a purpose. For me it was always to loosen up my tight muscles. All the massages I've ever gotten was because I couldn't turn my neck a certain way or just some part of my body wasn't working properly so I sought out massage for the healing purpose of it. So in my thinking getting an erection during a massage meant I'm getting turned on by the person who is massaging me and my mind isn't where it should be. So to me this was bad because well I figure the masseuse is trying to do their job and help me accomplish these things. Not trying to get me aroused. Plus I thought that maybe the masseuse would get mad at me for getting aroused or something.
I've had massages where I've been able to relax and never get turned on or get an erection and then I've had several where I'm glad it's not a full body massage and I don't have to lie on my back because I get an erection.
It's nice to know that this a common thing for people to become aroused during massage and not something to fret over. I've never been much of a pre-cummer so I guess at least I got that much going for me lol. Except for the accidental woops ejaculation I had.

Again, erection is a common occurrence during traditional (non-erotic) massages. Several years into my Super O journey I had an experience with a masseuse that I was seeing. This lady provided an eclectic type of massage that incorporated elements from many different styles: deep tissue, shiatsu, swedish and combined it with energy work: reflexology and Reiki. After a very relaxing 45 minute session she began with the energy work, putting one hand underneath my back while the other hand laid ever so lightly over my chest (in essence one hand was over the other), the position corresponding to the various Chakras. Her hands would remain there for several minutes at a time and then move down to the next Chakra. In the upper areas I felt very little outside of a wonderful calming warmth. At the third Charka however, I started feeling P-wave like rumblings deep in my abdomen. By the time she made it to my second Chakra, my flag pole was on the rise. I became VERY embarrassed and told her that I had to stop. At that moment she realized what was happening and quickly tried to calm me. She told me that it happened to her quite often with her male clients and that it was nothing to feel ashamed of. She was very cool about it, she told me that it didn't bother her and that I should just relax in the future if it happened again.

Several massages later she used a similar technique when it came to the energy work and once again I started feeling very aroused. This time however, I decided to take her advice and make it through the entire session. By the third Charkra I was having the familiar rumblings and the stirrings of an erection. Once she transitioned to the second Chakra all hell broke loose. In very short order I was having very intense P-waves and suddenly a full blown Super O was upon me! It was pretty clear that this was far more than she was anticipating as she tried to quiet my moans and groans (which I was stifling the best that I could). Nonetheless, it was a very intense Super O, I practically levitated off of the table! Once I was done she nicely but firmly told me that it couldn't happen again. That she was a licensed massage therapist and that her license prohibited erotic massage. Needless to say she's been very careful about the kind of energy work that she's done with me since. Ironically it wouldn't be a problem now as I'm far more in control of my body and mind.

All massage therapist encounter erections, this is rarely a problem. Taking it farther, that is a different matter.

Strongly suggest watching the massage scene in the movie Zoolander where Ben Stiller's character (Derek Zoolander) is getting a massage with an erection that appears to have a mind of its own! 🙂 *LOL*

Cet,

I remember that "Zoolander" scene...hysterical, and it bears some striking similarities to what I went through in my session, as I related above.
