Peridise... Am I doing this right?

New to Aneros, got the Helix Trident and 2pc Peridise set.

I feel like I’m getting somewhere slowly with the Helix but the Peridise (larger of the 2 in the set) seems to do practically nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, it feels good especially if I’m moving about, and contractions occasionally give me a tingly feeling on my butthole (sorta feels like when your foot falls asleep) but it usually very brief (5-15 seconds).

Is this usual? Did the Peridise take a lot of practice sessions for everyone else?

or an I doing something wrong?

You are probably doing nothing wrong. However you may have unrealistic expectations of what the Peridise can do for you. Remember the Peridise is not a prostate massager, it may not even be coming anywhere near the rete of nerves surrounding your prostate while in use. The Peridise is Aneros' version of the High Island Health Peristal model which is intended to aid in the resolution/treatment of hemorrhoids, as such, you may only instigate mild involuntary peristaltic contractions and nothing more. While some men have found their Peridise quite enjoyable and even orgasmic for a few, if you were thinking you would be generating anal orgasms from its use, I'm afraid you may be disappointed.
Good Vibes to You !

I too have the peridise 2 pack and after a couple usages haven’t touched them anymore... I’ll try them again at some point but it is hard to not reach for the toy I know works every time (helix).

The idea behind them is that as the peristaltic motion (hence the "peri" in Peridise and the HIH Peristal's name) tries to push the device out, the shape of it will cause the sphincter to reflexively contract and pull the device back in. Creates kind of a feedback loop. It takes a while to get used to the idea, and I've found that exercising the sphincter until it's too tired to do anymore, that helps in settling into letting the auto-fucking take over.

So I started off with the larger 22mm and it was doing nothing for me, it was like my body sucked it into place and held it there.. no movement even with strong intentionally forced contractions... today I ignored the HIH instructions and skipped ahead to the smaller 18mm, and I am DEFINITELY feeling something here.

Also had an AMAZING 5th (maybe? I’ve lost count) session with my Helix last night... no “Super-O” yet but the pleasure I felt from it was incredible and I feel like a had a few short mini-o’s

PROGRESS!!!!

anyway... excited to see what this 18mm Peridise does for me today (I have it in at work shhh)
