P-Tab Positioning and Sensation?

I have noticed that I get very little if any sensations from the P-Tab and wondering if this is the normand will it increase over time as have the internal sensations?

I have tried to press on various spots from anus to scrotum to see if I am missing something, but no
change in sensation has been observed.

It depends since everyone is different and everyone may have different levels of sensitivity. The P tab on my Aneros isn't earth shattering. It does help me with sensations but I can usually build up sensations there by massaging a few spots where all the nerves converge.

We all are different, sensations from the P-Tab varies, for me it is not significant. At 1st it was even a negative (with Helix Classic), uncomfortable, so I used a small rubber bumper to cushion the tab. After re-wiring and achieving orgasms consistently both with and without using the aneros then the tab did give a small amount of pleasurable feelings but these were very secondary.

P tab is useless for, does nothing. It's rare if it even touches with most devices

Hey @stimlover,

I just waited for a question like yours 🙂

Imho, the P-Spot must also be "awakened" as the prostate. The symptoms and reports of unawakened P-Spots and Prostates usually sounds very similar to me. My P-Spot wasn't very sensible too for a long time and never played a big role in my sessions. Until a few weeks ago, when I read that someone (I forgot who it was) said here in the forum, that he was able to trigger Dry-O's through massaging the P-Spot. So I tried this as well and it worked like a charm. I must say though, that I was already in a very aroused base level when I tried this. Maybe my brain clicked back then, but since then, the P-Spot (and my nipples) are very reliable pleasure zones. Another discovery I made, was with my latest toy: an icicle 45. It's made of glass, hence it's very rigid. This little fella puts way more pressure on the P-Spot than the aneros devices I own and this jump-starts things for me.

So, my advice is to stimulate the P-Spot separately from time to time in order to awake it. Also, consider reading this superb article. I came to the conclusion, that the nerval cluster, that forms the P-Spot may be a leftover of the female introitus - the distance from the anus is roughly the same and it also seems to swell up and get softer when I'm aroused. I sometimes immerse in the fantasy of having a female body and touching female genitalia when in touch my P-Spot - that get's me Mini-O's pretty fast.

So... to finally answer your question: I guess the sensitivity in the P-Spot develops over time, like with the Prostate. And like with the Prostate, focusing on it and regular training may speed up things.

Cheers, Unfug

I agree. Don't neglect the P Area! If I rub myself like a woman rubs her clit I can cum from just doing that. That area pulses and bulges like a heaving geyser when you know what you're doing.

I too can cum from perineum stimulation. Unfortunately, the ptab seems to be off for me on the Aneros models. My p spot is closer to my butthole.

Just bought a heat gun today though and may fix that problem. 🙂 Has anyone tried this before and have any tips or things not to do? My plan is to have a session beforehand and manipulate the positioning of the Helix ptab until I find the spot, then measure the difference between the original position and the new one. Then just heat it up and bend it further down.

I read about a guy fixing his p-tab positioning by just dipping it in hot, boiled water for a bit and then bending the tab to the exact measurement of his ruler (since he measured the distance from his anus to his 'sweet spot'.

I posted on P-tab modification with regard to the first generation Aneros.....the original MGX Classic, some time ago. That model featured ribs on the stem which I reference in regard to the degree of overhang. While this may not directly apply to the Helix, it will give some idea of the process.

Here's an excerpt:

First off, I was lucky in that I was able to get a "heat gun" from a
friend (really a glorified hair dryer capable of more intensely focused
heat). In evaluating my needs I realized that what I was really after
was a shorter and more forward protruding abutment tab. To affect this I
applied some sustained heat near the bottom part of the ascending loop
of the abutment tab first so that I was able to move the tab backward
(away from the main body). I then applied heat to the upper outside
curve of the tab, so that I was able to bend it inward/downward. In
essence, it was like taking the top of a letter " S " rocking it
backwards, then curling the top part down in on itself. On my first
"test drive" of the modified unit, I noticed that Aneros would not
insert completely (as it had prior to my modification). From this I
gleaned that I had bent the tab too far forward. I figured out that the
tab itself shouldn't overhang more than about 5 or 6 ribs on the Aneros'
main body. Any more, and the unit will not insert properly nor move
naturally.

That's some good info and also reminded me that the ptab isn't always in contact with my perineum so I need to move it forward as well. The only time it contacts is when I'm having involuntaries. I'll probably just make a gradual adjustment until I get it dialed in. Helix is one of my favorites though, so I would hate to screw it up. This will be my second mod to it with the first being cutting off the handle.

I bought the heat gun from Harbor Freight for only $8. :-c I'm sure it's not the best quality, but it should work well just for occasional use. I believe it is 1500 watts and gets up to over 1100°.
