Overdoing it? or How much is too much

Since my discovery yesterday of the benefit of being sufficiently aroused before starting a session, I just can't get enough of it. I did three sessions yesterday: 30 minutes on rising, 60 in late afternoon, and another 60 before going to bed. I did another half hour this morning. While I'm not yet experiencing anything climactic, I am experiencing some very intense pleasure waves. And the sensation seems to be sticking around between sessions, though they're not constant.

I've read of people doing 3-4 hour sessions and I'm not wondering if you can overdo it. Am I risking desensitization from too much stimulation? Are there any other potential drawbacks or risks from too much of a good thing?

And, again, thanks to all for the help along the way. The generosity on this forum continues to renew one's faith.

Hello, Lenny.

Glad to read you are making good progress. I've heard from other members here that they do 2 and 3-hour sessions every day or two. I have two sessions a night, every night; once when I go to bed and another at dawn. The Aneros stays inserted all night. Be cautious about over-nighters. The manufacturer does not recommend them and no water-based lube will last long enough.

Cheers,

Dave

Overdoing anything can have negative impact. I think the biggest problem with over doing it is simple muscle strain/tiredness. I've been known to have extended sessions and multiple sessions a day. I've noticed that eventually your muscles get tired, just like any muscle, and success seems harder to reach. Wait a few days and go again and I'll find better success and new sensations that I never felt before. Just gotta let your newly discovered muscles recover.

I agree with stumpy. A day or two's break after a concentrated series of sessions lets your body recover. Also, if the stimulation is always there, you can get habituated to it and the perceived effects can lessen.
