One long continuous contraction?

recenty i have had bit of success holding one long gentle contraction until fluttering occurs. is this what i should have been doing all along? am i supposed to take breaks with no contractions inbetween? i could use some advice

I've had success to the super-o by holding a long contraction, but I have better luck holding a partial anal contraction for about 30 seconds at a time and bringing in the PC muscle toward the end of the interval. As I taper off to rest, the muscles "flutter". I think if you do this enough times in a session, you can start to achieve stronger involuntary contractions. These will get stronger as your musculature improves with each session.

I'd continue to try both one long contraction or the 30-second contractions to see which produces more involuntary action. Read the Tug-of-War on the wiki. It helped me a lot. Other users may differ in opinion.

@KatiesF25 The technique you describe works very well for me also.
There is no generic right or wrong, only what's right and wrong for you. If you get better results out of holding a slight contraction then carry on doing it and fill your boots.
