Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone has used pure olive oil as a lube.I tried it a few days ago and had an awesome session with my progasm.I found it very slippery and progasm slipped in with great ease:D, but was wondering if any of you medical guys knew of any reason not to use pure olive oil up your bum.I cannot see any risks because it is a natural product but would appreciate your oppinons before adding it to my list of safe lubes.
Regards, AF

Hello, anal.

There have been a number of threads on this site about lube. It's a fixation around here. Olive oil is one of the popular choices. I've used it for short (less than 90 minute) sessions with great success.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi guys,
As a circed guy I've always been curious about lubes and years ago some buddies turned me on to olive oil for edging and mb. So it was natural to consider it as an anal lube for the Aneros.

Good slippery lube that played well with Helix early in my journey. -- felt much like a silicone lube. No apparent ill effects.

Only issue was a lingering 'dribbly' butt and a feeling that I hadn't cleaned up after the session.

Your post got me curious about the 'cleanliness' aspects of this lube...(getting rook curious about anything is dangerous...) Wondering what kind of a growth medium it might be for Staph or Candida, I found this: -- Mixture of honey, beeswax and olive oil inhibits g... [Arch Med Res. 2005 Jan-Feb] - PubMed result -- So, as the lyrics in Sound of Music said, "...Honey helps the mediciine go down." -- or -- helps the lube move inward... 🙂

Suggested ratio was 1:1:1. Someone try this and let us know if you g/f or partner now calls you, "sweetness"

Grins & cheers .... rook

Hey rook, thanks for reply, thumbs up for olive oil by looks of it.I also found that the progasm moved well with olive oil which is hard to achieve with the progasm as it's such a snug fit.

How's the clean up with olive oil? Is it ok for absorption into the anal walls or is it bad to use too much?

Hi ssw1,
Found the clean up not too bad at all.I only use enough to just cover the aneros,I find you don't need much as it's so slippery.I would have thought that it is safe to use as much as you want because it's a natural substance, and it's used in cooking and my mum used to use it on her leg to help treat an ulcer. It softened the skin,a bit like a hand cream, not that I would ever suggest using hand cream on your aneros.

My comment on cleanup and leakage was probably the result of having used too much -- I'm a "pre-luber" and at that point in my journey I was injecting more lube than I do now.

I've tried most of the common vegetable oils (Cottonseed, Canola, Corn, Olive and Sesame.) IMO Olive oil was clearly the best of the lot. Sesame oil goes down in my mental journal as one of the more egregious ERRORS I've made.

anal;

Last night was my third session with the Vice. I used a thin coat of Vaseline and then olive oil over that. Though I did not intend to leave the Vice in all night, it happened. Had great sex with my wife and no problems with removal of the Vice in the morning.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,
I've used vaseline once or twice but a little worried about the petrolium in vaseline.Glad you had a great session.

If you want a tool coating that's less fluid and is vege, opt for Crisco(tm). While it's hydrogenated, I'm more comfortable with it than with Vaseliine.

I use it primarily on the Peridise or SGX when I'm planning on skipping a douche. Works OK and I've not reacted to it in any way. No clue what the brand name would be in the U.K.

I keep the can refrigerated to prevent it from getting rancid. Every two weeks I melt several ml. and draw that up into a lube shooter then let firm. Stow that with my toys. It takes only a fraction of a ml to coat a toy.

Last weekend I tried it on theVice using Astroglide Natural as a pre-lube and it was a pretty divine combo. No idea how it might play with Olive Oil.

Ah ha -- lost is found:

Check the grocery store for either Spry or Cookeen. I think though that those are no longer as hydrogenated as is Crisco.

Perhaps heathier for scones but not as good in the butt. 😉

Just for an interesting aside, the man that discovered petrolatum, Robert Chesebrough, ate a spoonful every day from his 20's into his death at 96, spanning some 70 years. It must be fairly safe, if he managed to live that long eating it.

anal fun,

Olive oil is probably one of the oldest natural vegan lubricants in existence. It has been used for millenia for a variety of purposes from food additives to lamp oil and is probably safe as a anal lubricant (make sure you are using Virgin Olive oil :)). Here's a recent article I stumbled upon that might reinforce your choice ->
Green Up Your Sex Life - Organic lubes
