Observations On Positions

I was thinking about something the other day and I don’t remember this being discussed before.  When I look at my preferred positions, there are almost one and the same, just shifted in space.

Think about being on your back with your knees up, and feet near your butt. Now picture being on your knees, sitting on your heels. That’s the same position, rotated 90 degrees. Give it another 90 degrees forward, and that’s “downward dog”, or very close to it. Now I’m not going to do a headstand, so that where this stops… but if you start from the first position, and give it a flip left or right, then that’s the “on side, knees close to the body” recommended starting position. Which for some reason does not work for me, but seems to be pretty popular for a lot of guys.

I believe they all work because they put things in the right alignment.  Now think about variations of positions that do not work well, and how even if we are shifting positions a lot, it’s possible to be re-creating the same “wrong” alignment in several different ways. What do you guys think ?

Sort of a fetal position, right?  And on the side is almost the same except for one leg extended.

Yes, similar to the fetal position with some variation on how close the legs are to the body, depending on comfort and flexibility. Similar to the the idea that squatting toilets are better for the body because this position straightens the bend in the colon. 

In the same way, standing up straight, lying straight on you back or face down are pretty close as far as toy positioning will be, or that's what it feels like. The amount of bending at the waist is probably the No.1 element to take into account. And going the other way, the amount of back arching...

I can be on my knees in a doggy-style position and the toy won't fall out of me, but a lot of times, if squatting or kneeling sitting almost on my feet like OP describes, the toy will rocket out during certain orgasms. I have a standard bar stool, round top, that I lay on the floor. Then I straddle the narrow part of the legs near the seat; you gotta have decent leg length to make this not hurt or be too much pressure on the inside of your legs. I've never been able to be on my side. No idea why, in 20 years I can't make it work.
