Ok, I purchased my Helix (syn) about 21/2 weeks ago. I have read countless articles and watched most of the recommended videos. I have been doing my excersises too :-). But I don't THINK anything is going on. Yes, I admit, I expect things to happen more sooner than later bug I also understand thst they probably won't lol.

When I first insert the helix both my anal canal and the device itself are well lubed. I believe my preparation is right on track. I usually keep the helix in for at least an hour, "excersising" at first and then walking around, etc. I have done household chores, taken afternoon nap, and even done my weekly grocery shopping (wearing baggy sweats). Yet I haven't noticed any feelings out of the ordinary.

Am I doing something wrong ?

I've been using the aneros for about 6 years, and experienced a certain amount of "re-wiring", but even I can't walk around doing chores and feel anything worth a crap. If my mind is elsewhere, then it might as well be a turd sitting there. Its presence is only given power by the attention I pay to it. The aneros will send signals but you have to be there to receive them. When your mind is focused on some unrelated task, (or disengaged, in the case of having a nap) you're not present in the way you need to be.

For example, you're not constantly aware of what position your tongue is in when it's resting in your mouth, your brain just tunes it out. But you can become very concious of it. There's a difference in focus there. And in the case of the aneros, you have to shift your attention in a similar way. Only it's more difficult, because unlike your tongue, which you've been aware of your whole life, you're trying to get sensory data from your prostate, which we're not nearly as used to. So if anything you have to listen even harder.

Stop trying to multi-task. Give yourself entirely to the session and the arousal. It has to be treated as sex on every level.

demcco,
The frustration you are experiencing is a very common phenomenon with new Aneros users, I advise doing some more reading and give yourself more time. The Aneros experience is not a race or competition but a learning journey without an end point. Frustration is the result of expectations not being met, when you start dropping your expectations I suspect your frustrations will abate with them. @Clenchy is spot on in his observations, heed them well and you will rapidly progress.
Ok, I purchased my Helix (syn) about 21/2 weeks ago. I have read countless articles and watched most of the recommended videos.First, I don't know who may have recommended you watch any videos but I agree with veteran 'BF Mayfiedld' when he said "My opinion is that YOU WILL NEVER DISCOVER THE TECHNIQUES OF ACCESSING THE SUPER O FROM WATCHING A VIDEO. The reason, as I've described previously, is that there is a great deal that is going on internally that defies scrutiny. So while such videos may be titilating, they will have a difficult time being enlightening. (It's like someone giving you a video that shows an individual meditating and expecting you to learn how to meditate from it.) What I'm trying to express here is that even if one sees an individual who outwardly displays physical signs of this type orgasm (and remember that many don't), it does nothing to illuminate the path for getting there! Such videos may be interesting to watch, but they won't get you where you want to go."
I have been doing my excersises too :-). But I don't THINK anything is going on. Yes, I admit, I expect things to happen more sooner than later but I also understand that they probably won't lol.OK, now you've put yourself in a triple bind, you are already thinking nothing is happening (when in fact it is, it is just at a subtle level of intensity) and you have expectations (unfulfilled expectations are real session/pleasure killers) and you've set your mind toward meeting your probability model for delayed fulfillment. Drop all that mental conditioning right now and your next session could be a Super-O, it is as simple as that. You may have done all the preparatory work in an appropriate manner but Are you "aroused"? before you start any of that? An hour of usage may not be nearly enough time for you to get into the "zoneros" or it may be more time than necessary to realize the session is not going to amount to much. Your time needs to be flexible to accommodate the desires of the body.Am I doing something wrong ?Physically, you are probably doing nothing wrong (although even here the notion of 'right & wrong' can be misleading), it might be better to think in terms of effective/non-effective, which you will discover through experimentation. Psychologically, however, you need to go through the paradigm shift in thinking about What's an Orgasm? and the Whole Body/Whole Mind - the mental side of this journey.
I suspect you may not have heard this song before but it does capture a sense of how you need to approach an Anerosession. The opening line really says it all "Slow Down, you move too fast." The song reflects the loose mindset and attitude which will allow you to obtain the most pleasure from your session. The last stanza sums it up pretty well.
Got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep.
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
All is groovy.

If you can get to that level of free acceptance the Super-O will find you.

Good Vibes to You !

So I had today off from work and before I started my day I decided to relax and start a session. After lubing things up I was massaging myself and I slipped a finger up into my ass. I am pretty sure I hit my prostate (yes, ever so gently). The reason I think i hit it is because the first feeling I received made my eyes pop out of my head like that Jim carey movie! lol. If thats the right area then I LIKE and now know what to wait for. My only concern is that when I use my Helix I can't get the same sensation. I know I have the thing inserted correctly. Will there necessarily be a different senssation than with my finger?

Remember, all this stuff is still new to me 🙂

Will there necessarily be a different sensation than with my finger?Yes, there is likely to be a different sensation but it is not going to be greatly different. When using your own finger you have a tactile feedback through your finger that you will obviously not have from your Helix. This feedback contributes to your overall sensation and mental processing. Also since your finger is able to apply variable amounts of pressure your prostrate response is likely to feel different due to these pressure variations. Your Helix is going to feel a bit more static and the pressure is likely to be less intense than what your finger was applying. You should be able to quickly adapt to this slightly different feel and begin focusing on those new sensations.
Good Vibes to You !
