Hi everyone! Total n00b with a new Helix Syn here, never done this before save a couple of tries with a prostate vibrator (not Aneros). Very high sex drive in general, 30 years old, slightly enlarged prostate. Never had a 'Super-O'.

My take after 4 consecutive days:
Almost impossible to get hard with it in, even though I'm horny. Don't know if that matters or not, I don't have the best circulation but tried with a Viagra as well. The V certainly didn't make it worse, but I can't say if it made it better or not.

Day 1: Initial impression: it's small. Can't feel anything.

Day 2: Feel something very subtle, realize that if I move it around manually it feels pretty good. Also realize that moving it around causes muscles to relax, which in turn causes me not to feel anything (bad idea!). Moving it around very gently gave me a lot of pleasure for a few brief moments, say 20 seconds. I felt like I was about to cum, just seconds away, and I was starting to get hard, then those feelings and the boner disappeared in an instant not to return. Tried a number of positions that did nothing for me, including in the bath.

Day 3: Realized that it feels okay on my side in the 'recommended' position with one of my knees toward my chest, shaking a little. Propped up my back on a pillow and laid on my back with my feet flat on the bed and the shaking got a lot stronger. Finally everything just stopped, I felt 'full' as the Syn pressed firmly against my prostate. Amazing feeling, felt like if I kept it just like that I might cum, although not in a few seconds but perhaps after a couple of minutes. Then my muscles just let go. Perhaps they got tired? Couldn't get back to where I were, seems to be a recurring theme. I only ever get close to an orgasm once in every session.

Day 4: Propped up my back again, spent the whole afternoon shaking. It felt great, but I think the water based lube may have dried on me, making it harder as time wore on. When it starts feeling good I instinctively want to squeeze harder too soon I think, as well, so I stop shaking temporarily. To remain shaking I had to adjust my position continuously and use about 20% of my PC muscle strength at the same time. If I say still the shakes stop, but it could be because I can't fully control my PC and anal muscles yet?

Tried to alternate between squeezing my anal and PC muscles while shaking and it felt nice, but took a whole lot of my concentration, I could remain horny but switching between the muscles was slow and clumsy, and after some 30 seconds I stopped shaking because I couldn't do it fast enough. Ended up touching myself very lightly to get off, just tapping my fingers on my dick. Might have been a bad idea, but I couldn't really help it after many hours of being horny.

If I got it right, I should start very gently and then gradually increase the pressure, and once the shaking stops and I'm 'full' I'll just keep holding it in place until I cum? It felt like doing it for a while might make me cum if I were only strong enough. Or should I always be gentle? Because if I squeeze too hard early on I just 'lose it'.

Does abstaining from prostate play or masturbation prior to a session make any difference?

Oh, and in the first and second session watching porn was just a distraction, but when I started getting the hang of things some porn added a lot of horniness. This last day wasn't annoyingly trying to make something happen though, it was an enjoyable session, even though I didn't cum. Felt a horny sensation in my prostate already from the day before when I started. Making progress feels encouraging, already picked up some of the basics from this forum.

I'm open to any and all suggestions given my circumstances, happy to share my progress if it helps anyone else as well.

Welcome! A couple suggestions:

#1 Manual stimulation - that is pretty much not recommended at all... I made that mistake (didn’t read the directions or the wiki or the forms until AFTER my first try). It’s a hands free device. I think I bruised my prostate from manually moving it that first time (all is well now)

#2 The goal is not cuming (well okay some do the Super-T, but there is a larger goal). The goal is a journey to and towards multiple non-ejaculatory orgasms and many of them. I had no idea about that when I bought my EuphoSyn. I thought I was just buying a toy to get off with... after my first nights failure THEN I did all the due diligence.

Many months later on my journey it’s paying off - so don’t think of this as a one week race to ejaculatory pleasure.

I really recommend you take a little break and read through the wiki, and the forums - I’m sure one of the more experienced guys will jump on and help you better- but I wanted to say something since I made some mistakes early on and thought I could at least help you from going down the wrong path!

@Ben123 Far be it for me to provide suggestions on how to improve your Aneros journey. You need to travel it by yourself. But I would make a couple of observations. First, you don't need to "analyze" all of your sessions! Just let them happen; clear your mind completely during the session. Dream, fantasize, relax! Feel and savor any prostate pleasure, however small. In time, they will intensify. Also, just concentrate on you and your prostate and what you are feeling, not your cock. Sure, the erections and ejaculations will happen (you're half my age!) but don't consciously try for the ejaculation (if you must) for about an hour after your session ends, or until you know you just have to cum.

Two other things you may want to try. If your lube is drying-out, you may want to consider switching lubes. I use Boy Butter now (mostly coconut oil) and it compatible with all toys, even silicone like Helix Syn. Also, have you ever considered a second Aneros? Sometimes, a different model will get you where you want to be. Maybe you may want to try a "classic" model (non-silicone) or even a "Trident"?

Good luck to you!

Well put goldenboy. The “just relax and enjoy what comes” really helped me early on.
