New Product Review: Behold...the SYN !

Hello, all.

When I got home from a business trip today I found the Syn in my mailbox. That was reason enough to take a 30-minute "nap" before the usual evening activities. I cleaned out, lubed up the Syn and inserted. My dick immediately became half-hard. I lay flat on the bed to start but the handle hit the mattress. I pulled my knees up tight to get some lift and the Syn started to auto-fuck me. After a few minutes I switched to laying on my side. The P-waves were intense.

Although the Syn resembles the Helix, it feels completely different. Helix gives me P-waves, mini-Os and dry-Os in rapid succession, leading to a 30-second Super-O, all within 15 minutes, then nothing. Reminds me of sex with my second wife, which is probably why I don't use Helix anymore. Syn, on the other hand built slowly and steadily for 20 minutes to a Super-O without any mini or dry-Os along the way. The nice thing was that the Super lasted for at least 5 minutes. Then, the P-waves started again. Unfortunately, my nap time was over.

I'll give Syn a sleep-over tonight. Stay tuned.

Hello, all.

OK, I did the Syn sleep-over last night. The bedtime session went fine and I slept well after. The only difference I noticed between sleeping with Syn and Vice or Eupho is, it woke me up about a half hour before dawn, inside a Super-O. I usually wake up at dawn and start the morning session after visiting the bathroom to pee. So this morning I let the Super-O run its course, then got up to pee. I didn't have any trouble re-starting the session.

BTW, the lube system I used on Syn was Vaseline covered with Walnut Oil, which is good for you. The Vaseline is not absorbed, but the oil is.

The only remaining question I have about Syn pertains to using it during intercourse. Wife and I will try that tomorrow night or Monday night.

I did cut the curly part of the tail off before I went to bed last night. It's now only about 1.25 inches long.

PS. I've tried sleeping with Helix and can't get a good night's rest with it. Problem is, it wakes me up every 2 or 3 hours to play. That, and the Syn's comfy P-tab are the big points of differentiation for me.

Very excited about Helix syn. I've had the most success with the Helix (I own one of everything except the first-gen models), but the rigid plastic and aggressive design can easily overstimulate / leave me feeling sore. The syn should fix that, and have a more pleasant texture. The p-tab improvement is also promising.

Anyone know the release date? I thought it was going to be released yesterday, but it's still listed as pre-order.

I'd like to see a review from one of the forum vets once it's sent out.

It’s my opinion that you need, not one, but two of these little beauties!

I’ve been using the SYN for a couple of weeks now and I have found that contrary to the advice of the experts, you can’t leave the SYN in place overnight unless you plan on staying awake all night. It simply won’t allow me to sleep! If I have a session on retiring at night, I am in constant orgasm mode for the full term of the session. For me, that is usually about two hours. I simply can’t last being in constant orgasm for more than two hours without a break. Even if I come down from orgasm, I still can’t sleep with the SYN on board. It keeps demanding that I return to orgasm.

This means that if I retire at about 11PM, I have to remove the SYN at about 1AM in order to get my required dose of sleep. On waking at about 6AM, I am already in body-buzz mode and craving for the SYN to be in place. Assuming I have the second one prepared the night before, it is simply a matter of inserting it (with essential lube) and I am off on an early morning session that will run until about 8AM or whenever I get up.

Unless you are prepared to clean up and prepare your SYN for the early morning session prior to 6AM, you really do need a second one on standby. At least that’s my experience!

If it works for me I think having two is a very good idea. The benefits would far outweigh the costs. I often have two session of a night and having to re-clean what I use for the new session is a challenge when half asleep and cold. **
I am very much in the prewire stage and have high hopes, but will keep my expectations down so as to allow the Aneros to "call the tune". The *Helix-Syn is available in Australia as price just marginally more than in the US, registered postage included in the price! I am not sure if I am allowed to give my suppliers name in the Forum.

As a very recent arrival in the Aneros Forum and a very new Aneros user, I am glad I have begun with the Aneros Helix Syn. I began using it Sunday evening nearly a week ago following the directions of lubing myself up before hand. I was amazed at how easily it inserted into my rectum.

I had purchased the MGX, Helix, and Progasm models last December. But they had sat for months unused out of fear and trepidation. I had never used a "toy" for anal play ever before in my life until last Sunday night. I am so glad the Helix Syn made it so much easier for me. I am looking forward to my third session with this model of the Aneros later today in the evening. I can't wait 🙂 Also I am going to start blogging about my Aneros experiences very soon under the blog title "Gradus ad Parnassum."

They may have subtle, and maybe not so subtle, differences, but I find them all fantastic. If you have any anal experience at all you should have no trouble inserting them and enjoying them. You are correct that it takes time to get increased pleasure, which differs for each person, but it is so well worth the patience. Happy flying. I have been experimenting with the use of Vaseline (with KY gel as a prelube) and shea butter (also using KY gel as a prelube).
Like you, I have found that using Vaseline leaves a residue on the tool, which must be rubbed off by hand. I don't think this has had any adverse effects on the SYN but I'm wondering if the Vaseline (being petroleum jelly) is reacting with the silicone of the tool.
I have found that using Vaseline on the SYN actually doesn't seem to work as well as shea butter. Maybe this is another reason for using shea butter as my preferred lube.
Would be interested to know if anyone else has tried Vaseline and found similar problems.

I use a thin coat of vaseline as well and have found the same residue. It takes a wash cloth to remove it. The silicone coating does not seem to require as much as the other models. I plan on trying it without the vaseline. It seems to require much less lube in general and almost disappears it is so comfortable. I'd like to see the same treatment applied to the Eupho!

First-ride review: Wow! Toy is more 'gentle' than Helix and seems to 'float.' Masochistic guys beware, the floating p-tab lacks the 'stern nature' of the stock Helix. As a result it 'melted' into my body very quickly. Tail wasn't an issue in any body position (used small lumbar pillow). 😀

Lube: Vaseline on donut and tool -- two of Xochi's 2ml bullets as pre-lube. (Thread -- http://www.aneros.com/forum/showthread.php?13756-Shea-Butter-Suppositories -- my version, Shea Butter & Coconut Oil, 2:1 ) One bullet might be sufficient.

Thoughts on residue issue: My solution to residue on the Vice is to bathe the toy in the dishwasher once a month. I'm not sure how the -syn's red plastic would respond to that and am not anxious to test mine. I like the 'washcloth scrub' idea, perhaps with Dawn detergent.

Just got up from an 'overnighter' with -syn. Despite a generous lube with Shea+Coconut I had dried out anally and had a bit of irritation this morning. (Compared to others in the Forum I tend toward anal dryness.)

Suggestion: If you tend to run dry, suggest a thin coat of Vaseline around the base and you should do quite well for an overnighter. Think that the smoothness of the -syn tends to be a bit deceiving ..... nice quality ! ... rook

I think it's an excellent model to start with, Zang. The helix is often recommended as a good starting model for "bold" first timers, and the syn is a very similar shape, except with the more comfortable silicone. I say go for it.

Many have regarded the Helix as the ultimate Aneros in that it accommodates new, intermediate and experienced users. The SYN is a more upscale version of the Helix, with improvements for comfort and action that may indeed be of particular benefit to the newbie. A great starter, no question about it.

Well, the best way to get rid of temptation, it is said, is to give in. I tried to order the Vice and Tempo this afternoon. Spent a horrible amount of time. When i clicked on the final page to complete order it simply went to a blank page, on which i waited for a long time, and it went nowhere. In frustration i finally gave up and decided to forget the whole damn thing. I f it is possible to order by phone and i can find the number i will go that route. Maybe i'm simply not supposed to get them, Struggler, like you i have almost all models except these two and Muse, which i am not interested in.

Hmm....so do get it? Don't? Do you own a Syn?

Hi Takaya, i had problems when i placed an order. Mine were different, my house number did not show up on my billing details. I have sent 3 different e-mails at aneros support and someone called la kisha contacted me to say that my details had been amended. I'm sure someone will get back to you.

In my experience they pple at Aneros/HIH are very tangible and not wanting to rip anyone off..flick them an email or give them a call and I am sure they will sort your problems out.. they are nothing to be afraid of and will help you as much as they can.. I am sure

i left a message on 713 680-8840 Sat and aneros called me back today. no duplicate order came today which is a good sign. i ordered on 7/11 and was delighted to receive order on Sat the 14th already. the 3rd duplicate had only been pending on my credit card and the credit card apparently were able to stop that one since it is no longer pending nor charged. I'm sure that second charge will be taken care of by aneros, and if not credit card. if an order comes i will not open it but return as refused. i tried the vice yesterday and like it. i wud call it vibe

The Helix is very easy to scrupulously clean, just throw it in a pan and boil for two minutes. How is the Syn sterilised? Can you still boil it?
