New here with a Peridise

I just got my beginner set today and have had the large one in for about an hour. I've been reading about it here and don't expect immediate results. Doing kegals and breathing and I can feel it in there moving a bit and mostly just a warm feeling around the anus. Not uncomfortable at all but not much else. It's also my first go at anything other than my finger once or twice up there on my prostate. It went in easily but would not work it's way all the way in until I helped it.

Is it helpful to use this everyday for hours or should I do just a few sessions a week?

@Swandog,just remember that the prime function of the Peridise models is to control the discomfort associated with haemorrhoids. If you manage to experience anal orgasms through using them, that is a bonus!

Just think of these little tools as being for that purpose and you should do fine! Actually, whether you use Peridise tools a couple of nights a week or every night probably doesn't matter much if you are using them for their designed purpose. I found that using one every night for some weeks helped considerably in reducing my 'rrhoids, so, go ahead and see how it works for you.

If your prime object is to experience anal orgasms, I wouldn't use it more than two or three times a week but even then, you have to bear in mind that AOs are a bi-product, not the chief outcome.

Good Luck!

Thank you.

I have hemorrhoids according to my doc but I'd never know it. I don't want them to get worse so it's the reason for the Peridise. Fringe benefits would be nice though.

@Swandog I'm a regular user of Peridise...maybe 3...sometimes 4 times a week for about 60 minutes occasionally stretching to 90 minutes if the feelings are strong. I've never experienced SuperO with Peridise BUT...the pleasure I feel from my sessions is exquisite and always makes me want to come back for more. I like to use my Helix Syn or MGX 1 or 2 times a week in between Peridise sessions. Thankfully I don't suffer from "roids" but Pommie is correct to point out that Peridise is designed to help in the prevention of roids by facilitating the flow of fresh blood to the affected area of the rectum. I prefer to use the "do nothing" approach in my Peridise sessions...with regular use you will feel a fluttering of the anal muscles that is quite pleasurable. Combine that with some light nipple stimulation and you will eventually experience some nice orgasmic feelings. I wish you the best in your journey.

Jaxsun, I had the small one in today and it actually felt to be moving or working more than the large one. I'll take yours and Pommies advice and limit my use of it. My left nipple is hard wired to my penis and leads to orgasmic feelings all by itself! I think I'll be patient and let what happens happen.

@swandog. Sounds good...I only have one Peridise...the smallest(16mm)...actually it's a Peristal from HIH website. You can buy single devices...and yes...indeed it does feel like it moves when things start feeling good!

I might be mistaken, and anyone with more experience please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I don't think you are "suppose" to push the Peridise all the way in. I do believe one notch is suppose to be resting just on the outside of the anus, and the other one inside.

I had this very discussion in the chat room several weeks ago as I wanted to be sure of the proper use. I tried both fully inserting and also letting it rest just on the outside like I have just explained. I do believe I was told that it is, in fact, suppose to rest outside and inside. The body pulls it in, and where it naturally stops on the notches is where it should work.

@Drummel,You're absolutely right!

The correct way to install the Peridise, (Peristal), is to insert it just far enough for the bulb to pass inside the inner anal sphincter. The muscles further in will then draw the tool in to find its natural resting place.

I find that depending on my position, the depth it goes in varies.

I follow the instructions but when I sit down it goes all the way in. I agree that the two smaller balls, one inside and one outside, is how it's supposed to operate but feels about the same at this point.

@Swandog,They're not designed for sitting on!

The intention is that the tool be installed immediately before going to bed, (where one is presumably intending to lie down)!

I have seen several recent references to using Aneros tools while seated and IMHO, this whole concept seems to defeat the designed purpose of just about all of them. Iv'e never used one while seated, simply for fear of doing myself serious physical damage!

Well I'll be damned. I've read those sitting down posts too, in a recliner, in the car etc and assumed it was fine. The Peridise is actually comfortable sitting on it but I imagine one of the prostate simulators would not be.

@Swandog,I'm not an expert and I certainly have no medical qualifications but it is my understanding that HIH, (the company that developed the Peridise models and originally called them Peristal), did so for the reason that they were intended to operate under the action of peristalsis. It seems to me that forcing the tool in further than was intended, (by sitting with the tool inserted), would defeat the purpose of the tool completely!

By the same reasoning, sitting with any of the Aneros tools would similarly detract from their effectiveness and the larger, (and longer), tools would seem to apply pressures in all the wrong places. I'm sure others will roundly disagree but I'm playing safe!

Just my opinion!

Just to add to what @pommie stated, the instructions for the peridise / peristal also apply to the tempo.

I have to add:

The Peridise and later the Tempo were game changers for me. What I learned - often stated by more experienced users than me - is that once these thin / small units are in place (I now prefer Swanson's Shea Butter perhaps with some Lubriderm (hypoalergenic, unscented hand / body lotion) my body has learned to do very tiny, very slow, very sensual movements over my prostate. I can jump start them with the tiny slow stroking over my bum I mentioned in :
https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/comment/59224#Comment_59224

But - the trick is to NOT stay with any one movement / technique very long. Stay slow, and loose, and relax all parts of your body (inside and outside) even more, and 'think' rather than 'move' the devices. Waves of pleasure come and go - and can get very intense. I've used these small untis overnight - and easily drop off to sleep. When I wake hours later, it's time for extraction or better yet another run on Lubriderm (applied with Tpaper), and then after a pleasant run, drop off to sleep again.

Good news and bad news - my 'rewiring' is a constant if intermittent companion now, day and night, enjoyed or just in the way. And yes: sometimes the occasional unwanted chairgasms are in the way. The journey continues ---

These very tiny + very slow and gentle sensual movements with the small units help with occasional use of the larger units: Helix and Eupho Syn, which I tend to enjoy for shorter time periods. I personally think they are the ideal 'starter' Aneros products.
