Since our transition to the new website we've been back and forth on different fonts for the forum. Today we're opening this up to forum members for suggestions.   Bear in mind some of the typical typefaces seem to transform themselves into a thinner look here.  So anything that is light would be out of the question.  Hopefully there is something with a bolder look that everyone will be happy with.

Aneros Team,

Thanks for asking the readership for our input on this. After reviewing the fonts I have available in Notepad, I find the Tahoma, Verdana, Trebuchet MS & MS Sans Serif all very readable typefaces. They are slightly bold and characters are sufficiently kerned for easy recognition.

Good Vibes to You!

The reason some other fonts are coming up light/thin is because the CSS rule "font-weight: 300;" is active on these paragraphs. 300 is a lighter weight than normal (default is 400 for "normal" weight). Setting this to 400 should be your first fix for the other potential fonts.

I like Roboto for a nice readable font, but the 300 font-weight is going to affect it badly.

There are some fonts that will ignore the request for a light (sub-400) weight, so I guess you don't strictly have to change it from 300 if it's too awkward.

I don't have specific font suggestions.  I will say though, this forum overall doesn't translate well with FireFox.  Not only are the fronts super thin and hard to read, but scrolling is really fast.  I am required to use my arrow keys on my keyboard to navigate.  I am having no issues with other websites.  Not sure if I am the only one with this issue.

Whatever front you had a few weeks ago was much better than the current selection.  I vote to at least go back to that one.

I'll second what was said in the other thread, the font used for composing posts is fine by me. I often browse and write short posts on mobile, but write longer posts on desktop, so something that works good for various brightness settings would be ideal. Roboto in higher weight would be a great choice, as suggested by @clenchy

All good suggestions. I have nothing to add, if not to stress that weight seems to be the biggest issue.

Hardly readable as is:

Too Thin.

Very light gray on white?

Too small.

My use of this site has diminished as I struggle to read for more than a few minutes.

Please black on white.

Please larger native font.

Thank-you for asking.

EDIT, My post written with bolder blacker font, is changed back to the same weaker thinner harder to read font!

Please FIX

I’d be happy with 12 pt in bold. The italic is not a necessity but adds a touch of flash. I like flash…

Huge improvement now, thanks.

I'm getting really inconsistent kerning with this "Trebuchet MS" font, (letters randomly being too far apart or close together) but I'm only seeing this in Firefox for some strange reason. Anyone else?

4 days ago I posted Thank-you for font adjusment.

What happened?

Still good font, black good.......Font size requires me to use a magnifier to read on my desktop 17" monitor ?

Why has the font size been reduced again to headache causing tiny letters.????????
