Do any of you have any special techniques you use when dealing with a very finicky prostate?  Usually my prostate is responsive but yesterday was a very frustrating session and my prostate has behaved in this manner before.  I've used lots of pressure to get it to start contracting when it's being stubborn but would rather not use lots of pressure on my prostate.

Shouldn’t need to apply pressure! You didn’t say what you’re using to stimulate your prostate - have personally found over the years that not enough lube or not inserting the Aneros in deep enough so the head and tabs can work their magic! I use anal glide inside and a coating of Vaseline on my Aneros and normally just wait for things to start! Have not been disappointed yet!
