Hi,
I am a total newbie to this and have been trying with not much success with my aneros MGX
Basically i am cleaning every thing down, lubing up with KY gel, relaxing & deep breathing (following pointers mentioned in other postings). But after a while start feeling uncomfortable / pain around the perineum because the MGX's plastic tab starts digging in.
Am i doing something wrong or does the MGX only suit certain body types / shapes ?
Any help would be much appreciated as reading the other posting many people are getting great results from using these items.
Hi grabberhound!
With the configuration of the MGX, the only thing I can recommend is to keep the area dry as possible and put a couple of layers of tissue or a layer of soft cloth between the plastic and perineum.
Hope this helps a little???

Hi grabberhound,
Welcome to the forum. The MGX is a personal favorite of mine. It does have a pretty agressive tab. I remember hearing more than a few times from guys having the same issues as you. I would think that as soon as it becomes painful, stop. As you become more conditioned to stimulation of that area, my guess is that you will be able to tolerate more pressure for longer periods. I remember someone saying that they bought a ping pong ball and cut a hole big enough to insert the tab and therefore spreading out the pressure over a larger area. I thought that sounded like a good idea. I have heard of others that have used things like cotton balls or tissue wrapped around the tab to soften it a bit.
Stick with it. You are in for a great experience. You just need to go through the learning curve.
Take care and I hope that helped.

I had the same exact problem with my Helix, once inserted, it dug in deep and after an hour would be painful. What I do is just take some tissue, fold it a couple times and place it under the tab (kind of tricky sometimes) and I feel a lot less pressure. Though after a bunch of sessions in a row, I'm still getting some dull pain, think I will try the cotton ball suggestions above.
Edit: Also, I find that if my perineum is sore, but I don't want to lose the sensitivity from lack of use (I try to have a session every 2-3 days), I'll switch out and use my Eupho, the tab is a lot more gentle for me, and it is nice to switch up models from time to time.
I am also a newbie as well... I bought my MGX from another site and used google to find this site to see if there were other models to try.. I have to admit ive been having the same problem with my front tab becoming uncomfortable after 10 mins or so.. Ive tried the mgx about 5 times in the last 3 months since i got it.. and every time its the same thing.. longest time ive gone with it was 1 1/2 hrs and never reached the super orgasm or even a little one... have shivered a few times from a tingle but thats been about it..
for me i think the reason i havent gotten to the super-o is cuz of the amount of discomfort im having with that front tab.. its very distracting to me personally to the point i couldnt concentrate.. after the first time i did some research and and noticed people had said to keep the tab dry.. so i made sure the next few times i tried i did.. but still was in discomfort from the irritation it was causing.. when i saw that yall had a forum i figured id look around and see if there was anyone else having the same problem.. and i found this thread...
Im definitely going to try the suggestions above next time i have a go with mine... ill let you know how it turns out next time..
Hey Guys!
With ALL models but the mgx and progasm, you can do what I do to protect your perineum for a long run.
I take the black soft-rubber squeeze part to a child's medicine dropper (bought at the drugstore in packages of 2 for a couple of bucks) and pull the black squeeze portion off and simply slide it over the tab.
This gives you a softer rubber bulb against your skin and I have no complaints about soreness any more!
