Hello there fellow aneros users, i went too see the urologist today at the Austin hospital
it was mostly old men in the waiting room when i went to check in at reception the lady
behind the desk told me that the doctors had not arrived yet and that four of them where
away but i only had to wait about fourty minutes thank god, and then they called my name
over the intercom feeling quiet nervous i went to room 28 but ended up sitting at a desk
being greeted by a woman a fairly attractive female too which just made me even more
nervous and uncomftable, so i had printed off a picture of that stupid womans toy i had used
and a picture of the whole peridise and a picture of my aneros eupho sitting next to my blue
progasm.

I started off by showing her a paper my local GP had printed off showing all my visits to
him along with proctitus listed as the reason for half my visits, after i showed her that
i told her my reason for being there was that i had caused myself a bit of an injury with
a sex toy and i reluctantly pulled out of my bag the printed off picture of that stupid womans sex toy i had used on myself and told her part of the story when i first showed it too her she was like
"Whats this" as she asked me questions i had trouble talking, she asked me if i had blood in my urine and any in my bowel movement and whether i had any pain passing urine too which i all said no
i told her i had pain in my rectum,
i told her it felt uncomftable when
i passed a bowel movement i told her
it had felt uncomftable when i passed urine i also told her i had pain running down my legs.

She asked me whether my local GP had performed a prostate examine or taken a urine sample i said "no" "she asked why not" and i said i thought it was because my GP was qualified enough to do this so quiet obviously i was wrong.

Now i am left wondering why he never did any of these tests, i was thinking to myself today why did he send me here when he can do this stuff himself.

Anyway i am not quiet satisfied that there
is nothing wrong with my prostate and that area because my balls are sometimes a bit sore i even told her this briefly, i still dont understand why it is sometimes uncomftable when the muscles that surround
the tube from my prostate feel uncomftable and a bit yucky sometimes when i go to pass urine or just as the muscles are contracting when i ejaculate, i feel as though the should have examined me anyway
i feel like asking my GP to do a urine test or a prostate exame because i am not quiet satisfied there is nothing wrong down there.

So in the end she gave me a card with sometime on it i didnt bother to read
it i was told that there is another bunch at the hospital whole will probably want to stick a cothoder inside me to have a look i forgot what she called them but all i know is that they probably have see people who have injured themselves from putting things up there they are the kind of doctors that deal with people who things like fissures, so it has been two months of aneros sobriety now and still things seem almost the same maybe a little bit better, i noticed that when i contract
my sphincter muscle the muscles in my anus flex and contract like they dont have enough tension in the muscles, what could this be all about any idea's?

I personally think i have pulled injured stretched the muscles up there but some of the muscles seem to have tightened back up a bit again.

So i just hope there will be no serious long lasting permanent damage.

I talked to my A.A sponsor about how the appointment went and we talked and at one
stage he told my about he got hit by a car
and that he had an injured knee that took a year to get better, and i thought well if i takes an injured knee a year to get better then my two months off the massagers is nothing and now i am think maybe i will have too wait four months maybe even six months for thing to heal
and i was reading on the internet an article or muscular injuries and got the idea that they can take ages to heal
but i didnt like the part about the muscles not being anywhere near as strong as they used to be once they have healed.

We'll even if i have injured the muscles in my rectum this still doesnt explain the sore balls uncomftable sensation when applying pressure on the prostate the pain in my legs the uncomftability when i sometime urinate and ejaculate,
so this may not be the case and i am sick of playing guessing games and trying to figure out what the problem is, not knowing what it is or how bad it is.

But now i know that there are female
urologist i am kind of dissapointed
i didnt get to have her examine me
damn, even though if she did examine
i would try not to get deliberatly aroused
excited when she did examine me, that just wouldnt be right.

But now i guess i just have to wait until they send me another appointment for these other specialists, and hopefully soon i will make a full recovery so i can get on with my journey into orgasmic bliss.

Oh and thankyou Mr Mayfield and alv for your positive kind and loving and caring support i appreciate it.

Take care all cheers thecritta

One question: How often do you ejaculate?

I have noticed that if I haven't ejaculated in a few days, I will get an ache from my left testicle that runs down the inside of my left leg to my knee. This condition showed up around ten years ago, after I stopped having wet dreams. After the wet dreams stopped, I would have these weird urges to pee, and little would come out. I'd pack it in, and suddenly, the urge would strike even stronger, I'd whip it out, and very little would come out. If I strained, a thick fluid would ooze out with the urine, which I believed to be semen. Then several years after that, the pain in my ball/leg started. Apparently, it seems to be nature's reminder to get off every now and then.

Good luck.

If I haven't ejaculated in a while and particularly under such circumstances if I take some Sudafed, at the end of an otherwise normal urination I'll feel a warm pressure build inside when I'm 'pulling in' with my sphincter muscles to get that last little squirt of urine out and there it will be--a normal load of white ejaculate that drools (no orgasm, no spurting) out of my flaccid penis. It's not clear precum like we see with sessions and it's not the thin milky prostate fluid you sometimes see when the urologist squeezes hard on your gland or a hard stool squeezes your prostate while coming out. I've talked to some guys that have experienced this but wonder if anyone else does.

OK the first thing you need to do is go to a GP and get a urine test to check for infections and a blood test to check PSA levels, I don't understand why this hasn't been done, it's the easiest procedure to do. The GP will give you a form to take to a pathologist. If you have an infection which I think is unlikely you'll be given antibiotics.

If you don't have an infection the most likely source of the problem is your muscles. The good news is that if your pain is relative recent you should be able to reverse it quickly. Start with some pelvic muscle stretches and conscious relaxation of your muscles. Do cardio exercise; start off slow and build up. You may have developed trigger points in the muscles; these will need to be massaged through external and internal massage before the pain will subside. Consider altering your diet to be more bladder and bowel friendly. In my opinion a physio or massage therapist is more likely to be able to help you than a doctor.

Some books that have helped me and that I recommend are 'A headache in the pelvis', 'Heal pelvic pain', and 'The trigger point therapy workbook'.

Good luck

Oh well i have had the problem with the muscles now for about four or five months looks like it is too late now and i cant afford physio or a massage therapist, and what type of muscular inuries are you talking about that i might have done to myself please elaborate?

It looks like you have had some similar problems as me please tell us your story

And if i have damaged the muscles does this mean i will have to stop using the aneros models?

🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

Hi Crit - glad to hear you are over the first step. My advice to you is to stop trying Internet diagnostics - this is proving to be just a further pain the ass and that is not what you want at this stage. The advice given to you above is presumably that the contributors have not read any of your earlier threads so do not know the history, and how this has started by overindulging in the use of sex toys - so just forget that advice. (please no offense to slimjim and badger whos advice was given from them out of their bottom of their hearts with good intentions)

Now your next step, the second step is to get that internal examination done. Do not wait long - if necessary consult your doc and tell him you are angry that he did not do the tests that urologist thought he should have done - tell him he was grossly negligent and you are considering in taking this matter further as you are suffering unnecessary (this should scare him and kick start him into action)

Get those internal examinations done as quickly as possible, you have started the action to get yourself healed, now complete it and do not attempt any self diagnosis or listen to diagnostic hints that are based on guesses - stay with the professionals that is my sincere advice.

We as a community can support and encourage you give you some advice what to do and make this episode a more endurable for you.

work hard at getting well - the doctors will not push you you need to push the doctors

Yes reading what he has posted has had me scared shitless i hope he is wrong about the tigger points thingy anyway.

Im sick of this fing problem excuse my language, all i want to do is get well and get on with life and using the device, i have spent countless hours worrying about whether i will have to give up using the device and i have spent countless hours trying to figure out what the problem is myself online
im sick of this problem it has been dragging on for too long, i will probably have to wait another few months to see the other specialist, hopefuly not too long hmmm a few months great im sick of being in emational pain all the time im soo addicted to using the aneros i think about my problem all the time because it is still there, and reading the above post worried me sick and when i read it i thought oh great and i went crazy thinking about having done damage that wont repair itself, i wnet crazy thinking how am i ever going to afford a physiotherpaist and how am i going to have this internal external massage done.

I am rife with panic atm the emotional distress this problem is causing me makes me feel like lieing on a set of train tracks, and i feel as though i could if i have to give up using this device, my addiction seems so bad that if i couldnt use it anymore it would be like being not able to breath,
seriously this is very serious it is not a game my mind will completely shut me down if i have to stop using it mentally and spiritually my life will turn into a depressing hell and when a human being such as myself is very sick spiritually, and i mean spiritually bankrupt and mentally and emotional damage and traumatised.

I am worried that if i have to stop using the aneros, i will turn suicidal.

And i dont want to tell my counsellor any of this atm because i know she will have me committed
but i feel even though atm as though i might have to be because i am in a very bad state atm,
but then again how is a psychiatric hospital going to help they are going to pump me full of pills
this could be very dangerous for me because i am an alcoholic and i know that where i go at A.A alot of the people there are recovering alcoholics and drug addicts and like myself cannot take any substances whatsoever into their systems and by the way a psychiatric hospital psychologist cant solve my life problems only i can help make my life better and i cant even do that i can hardly fix solve resolve my problems at all.

This problem is so great atm i feel as though i am on the verge of a mental breakdown

😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥

Hi critta I didn't mean to scare you, please try to relax, worrying can make these things worse. What I described above can be done for free you don't need to see a physio to do the things I mentioned, it only requires time and patience on your part. I should add that I don't know your condition for certain, that I'm only going by what you've posted on the forum and from my own experience.

Please look into reading the books in my post above as they describe things better than I can.

My apologies to thecritta for not fully understanding the context of events and symptoms related in the earlier threads and sorry to hear about the stressful doctor visits. I'm actually a doc in real life and though not a urologist, do treat many men's health problems. At 26 you shouldn't need a PSA but a routine prostate examination and urinalysis would be in order. If your urinalysis is negative, I wouldn't think they'd need to treat you with any kind of catheter, assuming you mean here something like a flexible cystoscopy where they slide a flexible tube through your urethra into the bladder to look around. I can't imagine anything used in the rectum harming the bladder wall or urethra such that this kind of evaluation would be needed.

Orthopedic injuries do take time to heal but I don't think you can make a meaningful correlation here to any presumed injury you may have sustained with the toy. Your anus muscle function should not be affected by anything you have used and there is no way I can think of that looking at your anus would give any indication as to how strong the muscles there are. If you're having no problem holding your bowels normally, for example until you can get to the bathroom, then your anus muscles are okay. It is possible to sustain an anal fissure which is a small linear tear in the tissues along the side of the anus (as in passing a large hard stool, or conceivably inserting something large into the rectum) but these are prone to bleed and usually really sting especially during defecating, so I think you would easily feel it if you had that.

I'd be surprised if you've caused significant internal injury and think your symptoms should resolve over time with supportive, symptomatic care--that is, proper diet, exercise, good bowel habits, warm sitz baths, and other good suggestions I know you'll receive on this forum. I'll be interested to see what else you discover as they evaluate you, but I wouldn't worry like you are. You've shared nothing that sounds particularly concerning to me.

Yes thankyou for your concern i am certain it is no anal fissure because i have had no blood in my
stool whatsoever, but it does hurt a little after going to the toilet like minor pain in my anus, the
pain is usually in different spot around the lower half of my anus like right now i have a spot of pain
on the left side of my anus and sometimes it is a bit sore at the back of my rectum wall or to the right or left of it usually located near the prostate there is some feeling sometimes of a bit of discomfort on my prostate and it doesnt hurt but feels uncomftable in my pc muscles those surrounding my prostate when i ejaculate i just hope these arent msucular nots trigger points.

But the thing that worries me the most is when i contact my sphincter it spasms once or
twice when i contract try close it and the msucle walls dont feel tense and strong like they should be when you contract your anus sphincter muscles they seem to flex a little like i have overworked them
strained the muscle or pulled some muscle in my rectum i really hope this heals, i dont want to have to deal with the hard and painful task of having to give the aneros away NO THANKYOU.

And the other thing is i wa using large dildo's like this one

http://www.sensualadviser.com/-/all_sex_toys_catalog/moldthemes=16843.html

and a few others but i have decided to stop using them, i think that because i used these my rectum muscles where weak to start off with when using aneros and the weakness of the msucle's due to a lack of strength may have allowed this suspected msucular injury to happen in the first place had i not have decided to satisfy my bi curious desires i would probably be sitting here with a normal healthy tight anus and with no problem damn it all just damn it.

cheers thecritta

I still tend to think you have not weakened your anal sphincter. If you can 'hold' your bowels when they're wanting to move until you can get to the toilet and you can 'hold' gas in until you want to pass it, your sphincter strength is probably okay. You describe minor pain in various areas of the lower anus and also some discomfort in the area of your prostate, which as you know is further inside than your anus and in fact anterior to (in front of) your rectum. The PC muscles (the muscles that make up the pelvic floor and surround the anus) vigorously contract in ejaculation and there are conditions in which these muscles get sore, but I can't see how use of a toy that didn't even cause an anal fissure or rectal bleeding would traumatize these muscles that lie beyond the immediate anal area.

The Aneros products, when used properly, don't cause anal or rectal trauma and their use should not predispose anyone to sustaining trauma 'more easily' with something else. From my past medical and surgical training, I have seen the human anus dilated and damaged in ways far exceeding what it would appear you could have done with the toy you referenced with no residual problems. I still tend to think that your symptoms will resolve in time with supportive care and that you can resume eventually, if not even now, use of your Aneros.

Obviously, I can't diagnose your condition from just reading your symptoms but I think you've only irritated the delicate lining of the anus at the internal sphincter level (where internal hemorrhoids occur) and that this will resolve in time. You can certainly lubricate your finger and gently feel inside your anus and if you feel an enlargement or 'knot' on the side of your anus inside, this would likely be a hemorrhoid and these do hurt with bowel movements and can take weeks to clear up. If you reach further into your rectum and feel gently towards the front, you should feel your prostate as an approximately walnut sized rounded structure, and rubbing over its surface shouldn't produce feelings of pain; in fact for most guys it feels pleasant to do this, hence the Aneros. I assume you've looked closely to rule out a fissure. These often, but don't always, bleed and usually have a stinging discomfort but they're also easy to see. Just squat over a mirror with good lighting and pull back the edges of your anus and look. A fissure will show up as an up-and-down 'split' in the side of the anus.

Hopefully this will help you in pinpointing and understanding your symptoms better. Let me know what you find and what happens from here.
