I am still new to Aneros but am learning quite a few things.

One of these may be helpful to other beginners, something I have not seen on any discussions here so far.

I practice the 'do nothing' approach, so this is for others who do the same.

One of the things I have found very helpful is learning to relax and wait. That advice is given many times here. But this is not easy, perhaps because one is waiting for something to happen. Part of the difficulty in waiting is where to keep your thoughts or attention. This is where I found out two valuable things.

First, I found that keeping my mind focused on the place just above my pubic hair let me forget looking for feelings in you anus.

The second thing was to breath deeply but slowly from your tummy, not from your chest. When breathing in I found I could completely let all tension go from my anus. This is important because there is a tendency to slightly tense the anus while waiting, and this prevents anything happening. In fact, a really good thing to do is to try to push the helix syn out a bit, then relax and allow the muscles to spontaneously draw it back in. The secret is to relax the anus as if you were going to evacuate. The same goes for the penis.

This is really important because although the advice here is to completely relax, it is not easy to do so because tensions creep in without you noticing.

Concentrating on the region just above the pubic hair also lets you relax the tummy muscles. These also tend to tense up while waiting for something to happen, or when something begins to happen. As soon as I tense my tummy muscles, its stops any feelings or waves building.

I found that I need to keep my concentration on this area above the pubic hair when the syn starts to move spontaneously, or if there were little twitches in the anus. This prevents tensing the anus. The more relaxed the anus, the more it will start moving by itself. And holding my concentration on this area above the pubic hair prevents my tummy tensing when feelings start to happen, and this allows the feelings to build by themselves.

But also there are very subtle feelings in the area by the pubic hair which can be missed if I am not concentrating there.

The other two things which are important are, first, to feel aroused, and second, to lie in such a position that the syn is free to move and not touching the bed. I put a cushion under my back to help this.

I hope this helps any new guys here. Or even those who have been learning for some time. In a few months I have had on several occasions the most intense orgasms. They are not the same very time, and they begin differently. But the key, at least fro me, is relaxing those anal and tummy muscles, and keeping them relaxed with deep breathing even when feelings start to build up. Keeping focused on the area above the pubic hair made all the difference to me.

The do nothing approach works great for me. I have been a user for one week. the first two sessions seemed to go nowhere (I followed the instructions for contractions), although prolonged. What has seemed to be the best for me is to get ready for bed, get comfortable pillows for my bed and use the side position. I simply relax. I prelube my rectum with about 1/2 tsp of Astroglide Natural. I them lube the Aneros with Astroglige X silicon lube first and then a bit of the natural on top. This gives the most mobility of the device to start and the silicon lasts much longer. It seems to be about 30 min until I start to feel anything. I have to admit, the best always comes at some time after I have fallen asleep. I am awaken several times throughout the evening with very intense sensations that are purely involuntary. they come in waves without me doing anything at all. This can last several minutes. I simply end up back to sleep and after a period, it all starts again. last night for the first time it actually got "bigger" until I kind of felt a "bang". Not sure if a "O" or not. I do love this thing. I usually end up removing it about 2-3 in the morning and go to sepp for the remainder of the evening!1

I have found that the do-nothing technique generally works for me. One key that I have discovered to make an Aneros session more enjoyable is to definitely be aroused before the session begins. @GGringo has given a great post recently on how to achieve this arousal. Every guy will have his own technique; remember that arousal does not mean just an erection. Sometimes guys refer to a 'horny erection'; that is what you are after.

One other thing with the do-nothing session: if your prostate is ready, it will not matter WHAT you do! The session will take-off under its own power and you will just be along for-the-ride! This would include a possible Super-O as well!

I began my Aneros journey at age 63 in early June 2012. My learning curve because I had no experience whatsoever in anal play. It took me more than two years before I began to my Aneros tools with confidence. When I got Tempo just after Thanksgiving 2013, that is when my sessions took a quantum leap. I experienced a mild Super-O on the morning July 4, 2015.

It is only the last year or so that I adopted the do-nothing approach to my sessions. I also adopted the approach of no expectations in my session, just relax and enjoy. Since then, I let my body take over when I insert one of my Aneros tools. It is much better that way. Also each session is unique and has something useful to teach me.

Finally this morning I let my body take over for sure, and I sat mostly in the passenger's seat. That is when as I pictured first Maximus and then Progasm Classic moving inside that I experienced my first bona fide Super-O's and MMO's!
