I just ordered my first aneros, the helix syn, a few minutes ago I can't wait for it to arrive, I've never do e any anal play before in us an occasional insertion of something small once or twice. A few questions
1 what is a good lube, can I just Vaseline the syn and go or the syn and my rectum? Or is Vaseline not good
2 I know to expect nothing but what can I expect... lol

Congradulations on your new adventure, @mypleasuerz87. Vaseline is fine. Use plenty. Go slow on insertion, stop if you feel pain then proceed. It will feel tight but shouldn't hurt. You sound like you already expect some pleasure. That's okay but be open to the pleasure that you get. It may not be what you're used to or expect. Let us know what it's like for you.

I personally prefer to use a water-based lube on my Helix Syn as recommended by the manufacturer. They suggest ID Glide. I use either KY gel or a quite viscous lube called Maximus which is made in the UK by the makers of Liquid Silk. Both adhere well to the Helix Syn and last throughout a session of a couple of hours or more. As I understand it, the silicone coating of the Helix Syn is slightly porous which makes it a bit more difficult to clean off every trace of a petroleum-based lube such as Vaseline after use. I am surprised that so many guys on this forum still prefer Vaseline since I was under the impression that its days as a personal lubricant were over, having been replaced by the new generation of of water and silicone-based lubes. But I suppose that whatever floats your boat.........
