My brand new Progasm Jr. has a strong vinegar-like smell

Hi! Is it normal for brand new Progasm Jr.'s to have a strong smell out of the box? It's like vinegar; a very bitter odor. I bought it off Amazon and I know that some people clean their toys with vinegar so I'm a little freaked out that I was sent a used one or something.

Vinegar (acetic acid) is a component used to clean/dissolve some plastics. It possible it is residual from the manufacturing process...
Since it was purchased thru Amazon, they would be your recourse.
I thought I read not to use vinegar on my Aneros in the instructions. But I don't always trust my reading comprehension anymore.
