My 1st rodeo...what the hell just happened...

I just got my helix today, circumstance gave me a "window of opportunity" and I decided to check it out.

To be candid mentally I had written off the 1st episode before the helix even arrived. From my reading it seemed
pretty clear that as a general rule 1st sessions are rarely exceptional. Accordingly my focus was on the prep and getting a feel
for the entire experience. I had purchased the helix on a kind of offhand advice from my urologist. My yearly physical showed crystals in my urine and a very high spike in my PSA (from under 1 to about 16). My internist referred me to a urologist with an oncology background. He (urologist) felt that while prostate cancer was certainly a possibility my velocity was extremely high and
it was very possible that an infection was to blame.

He put me on a month of cipro (which dropped my PSA back down to roughly 1.0). I noticed during the series of two prostate exams (over just a few days) that I started pissing like a race horse again, had a wet dream I wish I could patent and regular "morning wood". When I mentioned all this to him on the follow up visit he suggested prostate massage. I told him that at the moment I couldn't afford it do to my very high deductible. He mentioned (not really recommended) devices like the helix and here we are.

I gave the background to highlight my state of mind. My focus was on the actual ability to massage my prostate vs anything erotic. Prep was relatively simple (rectal enema, liquid prelube, ky) then greased the helix up and insertion was no problem. Then it was just "there". Not at all painful but undeniably present. I followed the basic instructions lying on my side ans trying to do nothing....and it was "there". No twitching, dancing, tickling...nada, nothing, squat. Started to take a few belly breaths....nothing beyond the ongoing "thereness". I had figured on a 20 min or so experience following up on the various "take it slow" recommendations figuring that the 2nd or 3rd time would be better. So I decided to see about checking out actually using contractions to massage my prostate. At this point I had the same sensation i'd get when the doc pressed on my prostate but so actual ability to feel the contact or pressure. I did have some very minimal clear fluid...

I started with the base "20%" contraction....nothing...no twitch, no sense of "contact". So I bore down and Bong...no doubt about it I could feel the helix make what felt like a huge movement and sense it move my prostate. This was a very asexual feeling. Not good, bad, painful or pleasurable...just pressure....OK. I did 5 or 6 slow full contractions and then stopped. All seemed OK so I went back to breathing, look to feel any sensation (and I mean any damn thing)...nada, OK I tried to recall what I had read in the "newbie book"...I moved onto my back and tried breathing again, slow deep "belly breaths"....not a frigging thing.

OK, about what I expected for my 1st shot. figured on 1 or 2 more sets of contractions and I'd hit the showers. I did the 1st set of 5 with the same pressure feeling. I was keying on trying to feel the "pivot"...nothing. Took another set of breaths while trying to hold the "20 %" contraction...nothing. OK...remembered comment about the p tab needing to make good contact and possibly pushing it toward the anus...felt like it was floating so I pushed it till it made contact and then till I felt like it "locked in" the helix...if that makes any sense. Did another set of contractions with no appreciable difference except I could clearly feel the ptab and a variation in it's pressure during the contraction...no flutter or any sensation other then the same prostate "pressure" + the ptab awareness.

Dropped back to the reduced 20% contraction and figured on a few more breathing sets and that would be it. After 4 or 5 belly breaths I was then aware of a sudden "warmth" in my belly. Not in my anal or prostate regions but in my solar plexus. I don't even know how to describe the sensation except as pleasurable, starting out as subtle but quickly ratcheting up over about 30 seconds or so. This caught me entirely by surprise and it was all i could do to keep breathing. It wasn't a sexual pleasure and I was totally limp (not the smallest inclination for an erection at any point). All of a sudden I started having involuntary spasms (not the helix...ME). I was jerking around like a trout on a line as the wave of pleasure grew.

None of this was centered in my penis, prostate or anus. I had no actual awareness of the helix at all. From that point things transitioned to what can only be described as an orgasm...i have no other wording for it....however it was totally unlike what I view as an orgasm. It wasn't centered on any one part of my anatomy and it wasn't "pulsing". It was just a wave (or rush) of pleasure that amplified exponentially. At some point (I have no clue exactly when fluid began to stream out of my flaccid penis). I really was totally unaware of it as it was happening lost in what was happening. It wasn't clear but didn't smell like semen either. For lack of a better description it was "frothy". It wasn't a huge amount...maybe a couple of tablespoons total.

The whole thing from onset to end was probably about 3 minutes or so. I don't know when the "orgasm" started but it was an amplification of the original pleasure wave that seemed to spark the "involuntariness" which in turn triggered what I could only call a whole body orgasm. On one hand I could argue that the entire thing was so entirely pleasurable it was all an "orgasm" or say only the 30 seconds of extreme peak was....what the hell just happened....and hoe the hell do I make it happen again:).

azhacker,

Congratulations, you are one of the lucky few men to experience a Super-O right out of the box. This post really deserves to be placed in the My First Super Orgasm... thread and I would encourage you to cross post it there.

I especially liked your statement

To be candid mentally I had written off the 1st episode before the helix even arrived. From my reading it seemed
pretty clear that as a general rule 1st sessions are rarely exceptional. Accordingly my focus was on the prep and getting a feel for the entire experience.

. This is a perfect example of having no expectactions and allowing the experience to unfold for you. You were just totally open to accepting whatever happened, your naivete held the door open and you stepped through to the adventure.

...what the hell just happened....

You Super-O'd man!

...and hoe the hell do I make it happen again.

Ahh now there's the rub! You can't "make it happen" you have to allow it to happen! You do have the advantage of knowing how to let it happen for you, so allow your body to duplicate the experience in the future and don't get down on yourself if it doesn't happen immediately again for you. Again Congratulations.

rumel,

thanks very much for the earlier PM, obviously it was very helpful. I can certainly move this (once I sort out how) if you feel it appropriate. I'm somewhat confused, obviously "something" happened but based on what I have read it didn't seem to meet the "super-o" definitions. I ejaculated for one thing which I thought it not a part of the super-o (again this is all from what I read). I never had an erection (or any inclination to one) or "waves" of pleasure. It was literally one "wave" that built very quickly and afterward it certainly seemed like I was in a refractory state. An awful lot of steps seemed to be missing starting with any type of prostate awakening or even any type of self awareness. It kind of felt like it was over before it began. Any definition for a premature super-o?. Literally the closest anology I can come to was my 1st blow job. I was 15 and my girlfriend was intent on not only giving me a BJ but learning to "deep throat"....I was so amped up at the thought of both that once it actually happened I think both my penis head and semen hit the back of her throat at the same time:)....

azhacker,

Form the Aneros WIKI Super-O Definition

The duration of the Super-O may be several seconds to minutes longer than a traditional orgasm (particularly when multiples are involved). Super-O's come in all shapes and sizes. Some are small, some are large, some are single, some are multiple, some are centered in one area while others are in another. Some are particularly intense, while others are more subdued.

The fact you ejaculated at the end doesn't mean you didn't have a Super-O, when have you ever had a traditional ejaculatory orgasm last as long as 30 seconds? Your erectile state has no bearing on your ability to experience a Super-O. The rapid ramp up and high plateau pleasure state that lasted 3 minutes is but one example of the variety of P-waves one may experience. Our most veteran and knowledgeable expert on this Forum, 'Brian Mayfield' has often remarked that, for some men, early success may come because they are pre-wired for the experience. Whether this is a previously learned attribute or exists in our very DNA, we don't know. For those lucky few, the learning curve is short-circuited and they skip right by many of the Milestones ("...steps...") to which you refer.
