Moved on to bigger toys? Will it damage progress?

Yes, it could slow your progress, potentially. There are pros and cons.
(First off I should state I've never had a super O, so my advice is based on how using other anal toys affected ongoing progress)
I came to Aneros from the other direction, had been using "bigger toys" for years before buying my first prostate massager. Have since slowly phased vibrators out.

When using a dildo, the approach to gaining more pleasure is very similar to a traditional penile orgasm. More speed or force = more pleasure. Aneros needs a different kind of mentality, not one of instant gratification. If you find yourself tensing up or holding your breath, that's counter productive too :S
Vibrators, in particular, hampered my advancement. Which is a shame cos they're friggin awesome hahaa. The vibrations would numb the whole area to other sensations for a day or two. Making Aneros sessions less pleasurable. I'd also be searching for that particular 'vibey' feeling while excluding the other subtle sensations going on around my body.

Enough doom and gloom, It's not all bad. Having fun with all of this is important and denying cravings may well lead to getting stressed. I find just the opposite, myself. I came to Aneros after learning how to achieve prostate orgasm with a variety of Lelo, Njoy and Tantus toys, and now find these toys to be even more effective after Aneros use. If anything my body is even more sensitive to respond to all stimulus, and Aless orgasms are great too, something I wouldn't have dreamed possible a short time ago!

What I do notice is that the aneros sessions last much longer and the pleasure is high throughout, meanwhile with penetration is more of a shorter buildup until I'm exhausted, even though I don't orgasm.

If you use a dildo during a day session, try using a smaller Aneros several hours later(I like the Ambit/Eupho Syn combo). It has been my experience that the dildo play wakens up the entire prostate/anal region allowing the Aneros to really go to work. YMMV.

I like to do some thrusting with the dildo, but usually my dildo sessions are of the "do nothing" variety. I have not yet had an orgasm from thrusting, but have from relaxed breathing and doing nothing enjoying the stretch and feeling of it up against my prostate.

I think every one is different, but I have moved onto having anal orgasms with big toys and strapons.
