Hi to the wise,
My last thread outlined my concerns with some pretty severe contractions that I experienced during sessions. These appear to be under control now through relaxed, deep, slow, belly-filling breathing - thanks to those who gave advice. No more painful contractions in legs, arms and no clamping together of fist. At most I get a pleasurable contraction in the stomach area and a tingle in the hands and groin area.
I've had 3 sessions this week, one day after another. The last 2 were by far the best I've had and really give clarity to how enjoyable the journey can be. Each step seems to be exciting.
In both of the really good sessions I had a succession of 3 or 4 sensations about 2 minutes apart from each other. The feelings I had leading up to the sensation were of a general relaxed state with deep belly breathing accompanied with the tingle in the groin area that I normally feel for prolonged periods. I always try to think erotic thoughts and fantasise to get the blood flowing too.
I've discovered that my previously unresponsive nipples actually seem to be connected to my groin. If I gently rub them it's like a small but noticeable shock goes from my nipples to my groin. Anyway, I carry on rubbing and "gently" squeezing my sphincter and before I know it I can feel a pulsating in my anus in tune with my heart rate, which incidentally appears (to me) like I can actually hear it. It's like I can feel the intense beat in my heart.
The intensity builds over a few seconds as long as I gently hold the slight contraction in my sphincter. It really feels like a balancing act between what my mind is thinking, the contraction i apply and the subsequent pressure applied by the P-tab. Once the combination is right and I maintain a "Relaxed Breathing" state the intensity increases to the point where my penis goes from flacid to extremely hard erection within one second - I kid you not!! And then the pulsing I'm feeling in my anus and now lower stomach begins to include my lower penis and then my whole penis. I actually feel the pulsing in my penis as if I'm ejaculating but there is nothing but a little precum trickle that was there leading up to this point!!
This was such a wonderful feeling and with none of the "down time" that ejaculating always brings. Whilst it only lasted for 10 seconds or so, about the time of a traditional orgasm, I still managed to maintain a high level of arousal. About a minute later (I guess) the exact same cycle began. This happened about 3 or 4 times of equal intensity.
Whilst the feelings weren't "Oh my god" in style they were nonetheless fantastic and very, very pleasurable and unexpected. Relaxation was definitely the key but also patience. Giving into the idea that nothing happens overnight is just as important.
To be honest, if I just had these feelings only on odd occassions and nothing of more intensity I'd still be very happy with the feelings the aneros has opened up.
Apart from conveying my experience I'd like to ask the experienced and infinitely wiser (than me) members of the community of what step you believe I'm at. People talk of mini-Os, involuntaries, etc, but sometimes it's hard to know what classification a person can apply to an experience.
I know that I had involuntary contractions this time which I'm positive I did not experience before. I've had twitches in the past but none that seemed to be "in tune" with my heart beat. These involuntaries seem disconnected from any thought process (hence their name :-)). The feeling I get in my penis is very similar if not the same pulsing contraction I get when I ejaculate normally. So my question really is, are these contractions what others clasify as a mini-O, a p-wave, or is it just involuntaries? It doesn't matter much as I'm enjoying the journey heaps now so this is more curiousity.
Thanks in advance.
OBoy thank you for posting your progress, it really means a lot to me (Newb)lol. I really cant wait for the time that I can make a meaningful contribution. I intend on having a session tonight..who knows? Any way just a word of appreciation, and keep us posted.
Peace
D
Glad you thought it was meaningful to you Diesel and I encourage you, as others have to me, to continue with it but also to accept that things do change in time but only as long as you give your body and your mind the time it needs to adjust. I've gone from feeling nothing to some quite pleasurable feelings in a few months. There were times when I thought it wasn't going to work but now that I feel progress I have confidence that a change is taking place. It will happen for you too.
Don't force things, relax and breath long and deep into your belly. If nothing happens for an hour or so, forget about it and live your life. Things won't necessarily be the same the next time you try. I feel tingles some times and other times not, my left leg even shook uncontrollably once as I remember. That took a little getting used to.
Stick with it and have patience.
I wouldn't worry about being a any particular stage, just sit back and enjoy the journey.
I haven't had a Super-O yet but who cares! If I never get past the feelings I am getting now I am satisfied and as I learn to let my body tell my mind what it wants it gets better and better.
If I find myself 'trying' it seems to be counter productive. The more I can stop trying and just go with whatever I am feeling at the time it gets better and beter.
I agree with you Helixbill, trying is counter productive. I am enjoying the journey and now believe that just letting my body enjoy the moments directly contributes to the production of the nice feelings.
It is however nice to put names to feelings. For example, I don't say when I masterbate it results in the periodic uncontrolled contractions in the penis in combination with a fluid release, instead I just say I ejaculate. So I was trying to understand if the feelings I experienced as described related to what others would describe as mini-Os?

OBoy,
“People talk of mini-Os, involuntaries, etc, but sometimes it's hard to know what classification a person can apply to an experience.” IMHO, it is counterproductive to be thinking in terms of what “step” or “classification” one is at. Any hierarchy of criteria you would use would only be relevant to you and even then how useful is that? If you have a term, phrase or other thought that seems to fit the circumstance then by all means use it but understand these experiences go beyond the capability of words to explain and describe, so please don’t get overly concerned with specifics here.
“The feeling I get in my penis is very similar if not the same pulsing contraction I get when I ejaculate normally. So my question really is, are these contractions what others classify as a mini-O, a p-wave, or is it just involuntaries?” What you describe sounds like a dry-O to me, which I would characterize as more than a mini-O. All of these feelings and sensations are subject to wide variability in terms of intensity and duration, it is a range of gradients not a distinct level of attainment. I suggest you look at the WIKI – Glossary for generalized definitions of some of these terms.
“It doesn't matter much as I'm enjoying the journey heaps now so this is more curiosity.” That is good, getting too preoccupied with left brain analysis of these experiences will only interfere with your ability to have and enjoy them.
Thanks Rumel. I guess the only classification I need is "was it nice or not". If it is, keep doing more of the same and just enjoy. The experience is more important than classification to a paricular step.
Thanks for the advice.
