I use 100% unrefined shea butter of the pale yellow to white color variety. This is also generally not messy. But I also lay a towel over my bed just in case. Rarely a little shea butter will get on it. So better on the towel than on my bed sheets. After I've pre-lube my rectum and spread some on the Aneros, I wipe the majority of the shea butter off of my hand with a tissue, then insert the Aneros, and then goto the bathroom and wash my hands. No mess after that. 😀

Yeah, I recall things getting lost in the bedding, wadded up towels, wrinkled sheets, leaks, and the plethora of 'stuff' ---extra lube, Kleenex box, spare tool, damp washcloth, dry washcloth, antiseptic wipes, plastic baggies etc. etc. Most of that is gone and I don't have to do the laundry after a session.

Remember that you've undertaken something that you've never done before. In addition to the "stuff," you're also bringing into bed some old attitudes toward "messiness" that may change.

In a dozen or so sessions, you'll hone your techniques, actions & moves, and you'll streamline your sessions. You'll put and keep lube inside your bod as you taper down how much you're using and how your are handling it. You'll figure out how to swap tools without contaminating your hand(s).

Hang in there, be patient, be kind to yourself and enjoy.

IMHO, many newer users may over-lubricate. Just a small amount of internal lubricant is needed, so start with a little regardless of what you use, lube the Aneros well, and then if that's not enough, add just a little more.

You'll soon learn what is the correct amount for your enjoyment. It really doesn't take that much, especially when your own body will supply additional moisture.

Start small, add as needed.

I am one of those members who encourages 'newbies' to over-lubricate. IMHO, it is better to have too much lube than too little. Yes, too much lube may be a bit messy but I think it is very important for the beginner to experience an absolute minimum of irritation when they are first starting this journey. The initial sensations and feelings being generated by your massager are very subtle and might easily be masked by any slight irritation one was experiencing. Pain is a real session killer, even a very slight pain due to inadequate lubrication may 'turn-off' a novice user who ends up focusing their attention upon the irritation rather than the other, often more subtle sensations.

In any case, I think we can all agree lubrication is an important component of one's practice and each of us, through our own experimentation, determines what the proper amount and type of lube should be. Let your pleasure be your guide, if it feels good then you have enough lube, if it feels uncomfortable, then try adding more lube.

Well said, rumel. I was simply reacting to his comment about the mess. Of course, use as much as necessary, but try cutting back a bit if it's out of control like I perceive intrigued75's to be. That's all.

oh, just get as messy assed as you can stand, i know what you mean though, but i love my ass all juiicy with my sgx....even it I get it all over my face and lips as I do cause I love to taste it!
