As long as you use lots of lube then it should be fine. Over time mine cleared up using aneros helix and peridise. I had piles and external hemorrhoids. If they are big nasty ones just be careful and if they start to bleed give it a rest for a while. If they are ok the the increased blood flow in the area will eventually help get rid of them. I would have gone with helix classic as it is smoother but you should be ok.Well done for choosing a beginners model to start with. Helix was my first too, many years ago now.
Many, myself included have found this aneros use greatly reduces hemorrhoid problems.
Mine seem to have gone away. Initially the smaller SGX helped the most, . Internal ones more easily helped. To start with -as above find a good lube (oil or water based) use plenty of it, also insert some so the Helix has a smooth passage past/around the 'rrhoids'. Many find oil based ones work well, e.g Sweet Almond Oil.

This shows a different model, but Helix SYN should be good and more fun as it is nicely shaped.
Just LOWER your expectations. Good that your wife asks questions.
This is just the right place to post. It is generally a very supportive community. Your wife is also welcomed to post questions.
all good
Been using the Aneros massagers for about 5 years now. Definitely have reduced the frequency/severity of hemorrhoidal flareups. I go ahead and use them during mild flareups and it helps with the speed of healing. If you have a big hemorrhoid, just go slow and gentle.
And, if you're like most, you'll get kind of addicted to how these things perk up the old married sex life. And once you get your Helix Syn (BTW, I think that's the best selection someone starting out with this could have made) feel free to get back here and ask questions so's you can get the most out of it.
Hi Kroeger, I saw your question on the chat one day and sent you a message that should be in your inbox. This was before you had posted the question here on the forum. You got some good responses above.
Hope it all helps.
Euphos doesn't help with my hemorrhoid at all. They don't get in the way either.
