Maximus P Tab .... Ouch

I have come to like my Maximus as my go to device, however the P-Tab feels like it is cutting me. I don't want to remove it, because I like the leverage. I have tried the toilet tissues padding and that works for a little bit.

Anybody think maybe this material would work if painted on in several coats?

Have you considered wrapping cloth tape (like for bandages) around it?

@aneros_user13872 That might indeed be a great short term solution. Some gauze. 😀

Hi @xtimedt69,

Can you tell us what position you generally use when you ride your Maximus?

I have been using mostly now the position of my lying on my right side, right leg straight down and left leg hooked almost up to my chest. That position works very well with Maximus for me, without the P tab digging into me. 😉

@BigGlansDC I almost always lay on my left side in the fetal position, sometimes I can straighten out a little.

@braveneworld I would not remove the P-Tab, it gives it it's power, I just need to dull the AXE a bit.

This an age old problem that has been complained of by many users of the MGX and SGX models as well.

I learned very early in my journey, that the bulb from an eye dropper bought for a few cents at any chemist, does the job beautifully. However, I did discover over time that, since the material used in these bulbs is rubber, it does tend to perish eventually. I also found that I needed to lubricate the P-tab of the device before installing the bulb! Small inconvenience I would have thought!

More recently, I have discovered that the bulb from a babies medicine dropper works just as well and, since this is a bit bigger, it doesn't require that the P-tab be lubricated before installing it. Actually, I think that being bigger might even make it a bit more effective anyway. Your'e still up for only a couple of dollars and I'm not sure why Aneros doesn't sell them through the online shop.

@Pommie I have read about the bulb trick, they never looked large enough when I looked at them at the store. I will give that a try.

@xtimedt69,

That could be the reason mine eventually broke down. It is a bit small but, being rubber, I took it that a small stretch would do it no harm. It eventually split (after probably 30 or 40 uses), and I assumed the rubber had perished.

On the whole, I think I now prefer the bulb from the babies feeder. It's easier to install and I think its cushioning effect might be a bit better anyway. You might balk at the fact that they seem to come only in dayglo pink or dayglo blue. I have a pink one but I can't see it in action so it doesn't worry me!

@Pommie Word must have gotten out, when I went to the store, they only had the pink ones left, my wife had a chuckle and said I would get in touch with my feminine side. But, once you remove the rubber of the baby dropper, it flattens out and fits nicely. I haven't had the chance to try it yet, but it seems promising.

I wish Aneros would round off the edge of the device more like a ball.

They did its called the progasm! I dont know why it is hurting you so much, it must be the shape of your insides pushing it forward too much. The helix and eupho have a smaller sharper little tab so you better not get them! I had trouble with the helix tab at one stage but it went away pritty much on its own. Maybe you are clenching too much and sucking the device in to hard. Maybe try to relax more. The more relaxed you are the looser the device sits and the more it moves. I dont know its just thought to try!You could make the tab into a ball using bluetak or chewing gum, both can be removed if it doesnt work!

@braveneworld If Max had the shape of overall shape of the Max p-Tab with a ball end like Progasm it would be stellar. Max shape does the trick. The edge of my max P-Tab is sharp and my body gets going and pulls it in irritating the Perimeum.

However the Baby dropper trick seems to have fixed that problem for now. It gives it roundness and sheilds the sharp edge. But Sugru could be a more permanent solution.

@braveneworld,

We have had many complaints in the past, all referring to the P-tabs on the MGX, SGX and Maximus. Being smaller on the Eupho and Helix, I suggest that the problem is in the tab since these two don't attract this discussion.

I agree that it may also be a problem with the way the user is constructed! To that, I must plead guilty. I simply don't have this problem with the smaller P-tabs and have found that the baby-feeder bulb does solve it with the larger ones.

I really don't have any difficulty with applying this simple modification.
