Maximus Lube Issues

Coconut oil works great and does not dry out. It takes a little getting used to because it will go from solid or liquid depending on the temperature but, I think, it is a much healther option over water-based lubes...

Use Maximus with your Maximus - err, I mean use Maximus lube with your Maximus Aneros! Sorry, a poor attempt at humor there! 🙂

Maximus lube has a high glycol content which makes it thick and no glycerin which makes it excellent for long lasting anal play. It is still water based though and for really long sessions or if you keep your legs spread apart, it will dry out like any other water-based lube. I tend to use the Aneros on my side which seems to make the lube last longer than if I'm on my back with my knees bent and my legs somewhat spread apart.

You should probably also prel-ube to make sure that your rectum has plenty of lubricant. If you feel the lube start to dry out, you can pull the Aneros in and out just slightly to re-lubricate it.

Some users coat the Aneros with an oil based lube and put a water based lube on top of that. Others may use a water based lube and after insertion, spread an oil based lube around the anus so the oil based lube is mostly on the exterior. And still others use only an oil based lube or silicone based lube.

You may also want to try Boy Butter. It is an oil based cream that washes off with water. To me, it's not quite as slippery as a water based lube, but I use it on occasion. I also use Albolene which is a combination of mineral oil and petrolatum. The mineral oil may have a laxative effect on you so you may not want to use that.
