Hi, been using the aneros 6 months, wasn't happen with any of the lubes I've used until I tried PROBE THICK & RICH. This stuff in INCREDIBLE. Its slippery and slimmy just like the fluid the body produces. I can't thank the person who suggested it on here enough! When your through with your aneros session, the Probe is still sticking to the aneros. I tried Glide and Maximus which are okay, but PROBE is in a whole different category! Im looking forward to some super sessions now my dryness issue has been solved. None of the Walgreens stock it here in New England so I got it from a supplier on ebay with the name WELLNESS in their store in California. Reasonable price, FAST shipping.

Hey, healthyprostate:

Probe Thick & Rich is good stuff. Have you tried Slippery Stuff Gel? It's probably twice as thick as Probe, nowhere near as stringy, and really has some serious staying power. With the Slippery Stuff, there's still lubricant after an overnighter. It also has no glycerin and has been certified for medical use as well. The only bad part is it's near impossible to get the last 1/4 out of the bottle, so get the biggest one they sell, 16 oz. The price, I think, can be found cheaper than Probe per ounce. I found the best price at Passion Shop online for Slippery Stuff. Condom Country seems to have a good price on Probe in the 17 oz bottle.

Glad you found something that works for you!

Probe Thick & Rich is my lube of choice as well! Check out cheaplubes.com- they're pretty cheap. The stuff is stringy and messy, but it really does the trick! I go through 2 big boxes of kleenex every week simply because of the mess... Next time I'll add a bottle of Slippery Stuff to my order if they have it. Thanks for the suggestion, Badger!

Just wanted to thank you guys for this suggestion. The walgreens near my college campus carries it (they actually carry a lot more lubes than any other walgreens I've visited, probably due to the large college in the vicinity). Before opening the bottles, I actually was a bit surprised at how easy the liquid sloshes around. I thought surely it couldn't be thick enough. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I did pour a bit out on my hand to check the consistency, and it feels like it'll work really well. The stuff seems very slimey and reminds me more of thin mucus than any other lube I've seen.

What I especially like is that it makes it a point to say "safe for rectal use" and "harmless if swallowed". That's one of my rules, not to put anything in there that I wouldn't feel safe swallowing.

Maybe I'll post again after I've had the chance to try it. But, that may be a while.

It seems to me like the big issue with Aneros use is that the lube needs to reduce surface friction to allow it to glide the easiest... wouldn't thicker mean less friction reduction? Or are we talking more gelatinous?

Hello wohdin, 🙂

I don't know the exact terminology for this stuff, but I think the lube has to be both thick enough, and slippery enough to not be easily wiped off of the Aneros by the anal muscles during insertion and use. I get the same great results with 100% unrefined shea butter, as the other guys who posted here do with Probe and Slippery Stuff. It's a huge difference from having previously used Astroglide, which in my mind is not sufficient for the task. And it helped me to progress further in my Aneros journey. But just like everything else... everyone has different likes and dis-likes in the lube department.
