Hi, I have an issue where lube kind of dries out around the thin part of the aneros (where anus starts). I tried varying amounts of lube and different ones - water based, silicone, oil.
After a while it just kind of dries out where the contact with the anus is strongest. Has anyone dealt with this?
I think this might be the problem because my aneros usually doesn't move much (I've seen in videos they move like crazy)
Yup it’s a thing. Try pulling the toy halfway out once in a while, and if you have enough lube inside you, that will reapply it. I also add lube when I sense it is drying, earlier rather than later, often while keeping it halfway in.

I suggest you try lubricating your anal canal and your Aneros model with some 'Natural Jelly' and injecting about 3-5 ml of coconut oil. This combination should not dry out even after a couple of hours of use.
As far as movement goes, your Aneros doesn't need to move very much at all for it to be effective at stimulating your prostate. You don't need your Aneros to be sliding in and out like a dildo pegging you to reach prostate orgasms. Unfortunately much of the data from the older user Poll Aneros Movement, How far does it move? was lost in the last forum software changeover but essentially most users reported less than than 3/16" (5mm) movement as being effective for them.
Good Vibes to You!
If you are using a solid (non syn) device, I have found a drop or 2 of silicone lube applied with a finger to the entrance of the anus, and then apply my regular coconut oil-shea butter-bees wax lube, I do not have any drying during long sessions.
