Hey all! So my journey has been going well. In my last session I was getting some SUPER strong p-waves, it felt kind of like a door was opening. However, each time suddenly my large muscles fired and the toy started self-fucking me which always kind of takes away the building p-waves. I try to stay ULTRA relaxed the entire time, however, this seems to keep happening when the p-waves get too strong. Has anyone encountered this before? Curious for any tips or advice, I won't say it's frustrating i'm just more curious how to get past it 🙂

I wouldn't try to get past this, on the contrary I'd lean into it, in a sense those are involuntaries, right? And involuntaries are what we want. Large muscle contraction, mainly the glutes, go hand in hand with the super-o in my case. These contractions could be the next step for you, or maybe not, but I'd give them a chance and see where they lead.

Yes, if you check the Aneros WIKI>Getting Started>Milestones you will see "Large scale quaking (no pleasure)" listed, this is a totally normal experience with prostate based orgasms. I agree with @Zentai on this, what is happening (the large muscle contractions) is your body's natural reaction to the release of orgasmic energy. The fact that you are simultaneously relaxing into it supports the release. I know those quaking contractions are not in and of themselves particularly pleasurable but I think if you continue to relax through them you may find yourself sailing into the Calm Seas of Orgasm.

IMHO, trying to consciously suppress them is not a good idea and most likely will simply shut down the orgasm and plant the seed of negativity toward future orgasms. This may only be a phase in your orgasmic journey or it may be the way your body is hard wired to respond. My advice is to try to be the objective observer through these episodes and not attach any emotional judgment about 'good/bad or 'right/wrong', simply accept it as it is, be in the moment and discern the pleasure that is there. You are a unique individual, each of your orgasms is a unique event, no two are ever exactly alike.

Good Vibes to You!

The only mistake I think your making is letting your focus shift from your prostate to your glutes. Just let the glutes be. They aren’t unwanted party crashers. When your thrusting into a woman, who do you think is driving those thrusts ha ha. They’re pretty integral to our sex lives. They are our friends!

As you get to the stage your referring to,I’d try letting yourself completely let any work go and let your body play it’s own tune. Just focus of the pleasure and sensations. Thinking “oh no,these muscles are quaking again” is counter productive.

Thinking “damn this feels good,I’m going to explode” is much better! 😉

Oh man, thank you both for the help! SIGH, I can't believe this was on the milestone on the wiki! DOH. I have to say I am SO happy about this!

I actually didn't mention this in the original post, but, when I started my aneros journey, I was heavily focusing on contractions etc... (now I take almost 100% the do nothing approach and breathing). Back then I would get all sorts of large muscle quakes, but the level of pleasure compared to now was much much less. I associated it more with really tiring out my large muscles way too much compared to some sort of chain reaction. I.e. the same symptom but caused by two very different mechanisms - not sure if that makes sense?

Seeing this on the milestone path in a place that makes total sense to me is super comforting, thank you Rumel. Great points as always Zentai, I didn't view them entirely negatively but I was more curious if it's normal - which it sounds like it is! Generally I try not to impose any expectations, it's just I realized it happened twice in my good sessions and thought i'd try and figure it out haha.
