By the way Zaneblue mentions 'Kundalini rising'. What exactly is this? I Googled it and came across some kind of disconcerting mentions of bad symptoms developing and various astral energies, etc that may be uncontrollable. Ever since this Screaming O experience it seems that I am still feeling aftershocks. Perhaps something has 'awakened' in me. I feel vibrations surging through me, and feel and dream very sexually. Last few nights sleeping I've been woken up by these orgasm vibration feeling similar (but less intense) than I feel with the Aneros in during a session. It can be difficult to sleep deeply and get back to sleep. It kind of has me worried that I am unleasing something that I can't control that may harm me. Has anyone else experienced this? For those of you having Super O's regularly over a long period of time do you have any bad side affects such as this? I mean, I enjoy all the sex and wet dreams but you feel terrible when you aren't sleeping peacefully.

I researched the Kundalini as well and it seems to be related to balancing the chakra energy within the body. I think you must be at a very advanced stage from the sound of it. I also wouldn't wory too much about it. I think worrying about it might be keeping you up. Enjoy it and realize that there is nothing wrong with it. Look at it this way..by balancing out the body's chakra's you are opening energy channels and linking all those parts of the body together more. Just like your body has a cardiovascular system it also has this energy system. if I may suggest
Advancing your spiritual understanding of what is happening to you.

From everything I've read, it's my understanding that kundalini rises during meditative states. One also has to have an abundance of sexual energy circulating in their system that comes from a lengthy period of non-ejaculation. It also starts at the perineum and travels up the spine to the head. I've been meditating and doing qi-gong for about a year now and have only felt one possible partial rising. It was a very distinctive feeling of energy that started at the perineum and worked its way up my spine. In my case it stopped about half way up, certainily not a true kundalini rising, but definitely a case of energy moving around. From your description I would say that you did not experience Kundalini. However you certainly were introduced to the potential of sexual energy. One thing for sure that I've experienced is that the Aneros will take you places within yourself that were previously uncharted. It's a facinating journey. Personally, I'm grateful for my meager meditation experience, it's made a big difference in my life's journey and the Aneros play.

I've been using the Aneros for about a year now and I very recently reached a plateau where I experience body energy (with and without the aneros inserted). The sensation feels like the energy is flowing uncontrollably through my hands, feet, head, prostate, etc. - not simultaneously mind you, but flowing from region to region. My efforts at this stage are to focus on release of the circulating energy.

I'll update if I have any breakthroughs.

Cheers!

Forn why don't you see if you can evenly distribute the body energy then build on it? What do you think?

This is a great thought.

At the moment the feelings are localized and then move quickly to a new locale. I assumed that the energy was simply seeking a locale for release, but if I can consciously build on it who knows what will occur 🙂

Cheers!

Try locking the energy in the torso first then branch it?

Just a note on progress. With the helix (handle mod) inserted, I was able to 'lock the energy in', but it was focused more in my feet and legs, finally moving all the way up my spine to the base of my neck. The energy did not release, but intensified until I realized it was 1:30am and needed rest 🙂 I did feel my head twitch a little bit at times. Perhaps the energy is meant to release from the head? I had a bit of difficulty sleeping, but managed to nod off.

I feel that posture is important in this exercise and I begin by laying on the floor with a pillow under my head. After relaxing sufficiently I remove the pillow from under my head and prop a couple of good sized pillows under my lower back so that I am in an arched position (almost as if I were to begin doing a crab walk). The feelings I receive are so much more intense while arched opposed to laying flat.

Cheers!

Most of that sleeplessness / orgasm while sleeping has diminished although I get some of it from time to time. There are other odd things I've noticed. Sometimes when I walk at night streetlights that I am walking under will turn off as I pass, and then begin cutting back on afterward. There is a china cabinet in the house with a touch sensor, and it will be shut off, but will mysteriously turn back on after a while when I am around. The other night when I was having the intense / possible kundalini type experience there was a bathroom light that had been turned off that was on when I awoke during the night. We did have a guest over and they get up some, but usually they turn off the light after use. I didn't wake anyone to find out. This is odd, and probably just coincidence, but these weird things have happened. 🙂

Distraught,

While I haven't had experiences that you've described, I do feel at times as though I could will energy through my hands. I realize how crazy this sounds, and to everyone that hasn't experienced this, it is a very strange yet pleasurable feeling.

Cheers!

Yeah, I don't really think I am the cause of the lights coming on and off, but it is odd. Not sure what to think of the concept of all this kundalini stuff either. I know nothing about this concept.

To understand Kundalini you must understand the chakra system. Eastern philosophies like yoga, tantra, Taoism etc all recognize the bioelectric energy that circulates through the body. Each has their own nomenclature, but the basic premise is that through meditation and specific body postures the channels through which the energy flows open. Your best online source of information would be advancedyogapractices.com. All of these systems emphasise the need to prepare for the enormous energy of Kundalini with proper teaching.

Distraught, et. al.

Guys, there was a previous thread that addressed some of these issues that you might wish to also read.

Kundalini

The last poster had a warning about "kundalini" rising.

It would depend on if you are prepared for it and if you are genuinely seeking to re-arrange your life.

Thanks rumel!

Very interesting indeed. With respect, I'm not very religious, and a lot of these Eastern philosophies seem to be integral to religion, if not religion themselves. That said, I'm taking an objective viewpoint for this journey I am on. It is very personal yet exciting enough to discuss amongst friends and those on the same journey. Every plateau I reach provides more insight into my being and the bioenergy within me. Perhaps there is danger ahead. I don't know. Cryptic warnings without explanation do not help anyone. If there are those that know of dangers and pitfalls that lay ahead for those of us on this journey then please do explain by providing discussion, examples, and proof. Your comments are most appeciated 🙂
