Today I happened across the term "Kundalini awakening" for the first time and, upon reading a few things on the Internet, came to a possible new understanding of my rewiring as an opening of my "sacral chakra".

Does the long history of these Eastern traditions hold truths we seek?

Others I am sure will add to this thread.
All through this forum the idea of rewiring and energy flow are common expressions.
Some traditions see the energy flowing through vortexes on the way up the body. Others find that the Aneros experience make them more sensitive to beauty, love and creativity to mention a few. There is much we don't know and it would seem that various beliefs contribute to some of these higher values.
Because it is not measurable the hard line sciences turn away from these ideas.
I feel there is some truth in what we call the chakra system it vaguely parallels Maslowe's hierarchy of needs.

I am finding that the more I look into this the more there is to learn. With respect to Maslow's heirarchy I have just read about the 'stages of human development' in respect to the seven chakras and it makes a lot of sense.

There's a recent discussion on the Kundalini and its relevance to MMO practice over at the KSMO forum which you might like to look at:

https://www.multiples.com/orgasmforum/threads/kundalini-awakening-isnt-it-dangerous.2550/

There seems to be a general opinion that harmful Kundalini effects are unlikely to arise out of normal MMO practice but some exotic meditation practices are thought to be potentially harmful if taken too far.
