I tried the aneros SGX today. This is my first time trying an Aneros product. I have a few concerns regarding this experience. Using olive oil as lube, I inserted the aneros device slowly. And then i began the contractions but i didnt know that i was suppose to start slow and then move up in speed and intensity. Right off the bat, I was doing strong contractions and I don't know if that's safe? I did this for about 3 minutes. And one thing i noticed was that I wasn't sure if the P-tab was suppose to be pushing on my perineum tightly or just barely touching it? In this case, it was touching the perineum but not tightly. Am I doing it wrong? Also, after about 4 minutes, i took out the aneros and I saw a little bit of blood on the tip of the device, which gave me a little bit of scare. Was I doing something wrong? Maybe i didnt apply enough lube, or was it because I was doing strong contractions right off the bat? After I took it out, i cleaned it and I was going to call it a night. But I kept feeling like I should do more. So I got out the aneros again, and then reinserted the device a second time. And this time I went on for about 8 minutes before calling it a night. I notice the second time, i was still not sure if the P tab was suppose to be pressed tightly against my perineum or just slightly touching it. I wasn't even sure if the P tab was touching my perineum during the second time. I didn't know if it was in all the way because I didn't feel the P tab even touching my perineum as I was laying on my sides, so I kept pushing the handle in more to see if it can go in further and the P tab finally made contact with my perineum but was still not pressed tightly against my perineum, but it was touching it a little now. I assumed that the P tab was suppose to be pressed tightly against my perineum which is why i kept pushing the device in more; using my hands to manually do it. My concern is that I heard if you keep pushing the aneros in manually with your hand (like how i did), it could damage something?

So thats why I'm a little paranoid right now because I kept pushing the aneros device in more with my hands at the same time I was doing the pc muscle contractions, which after reading the forums, is something I now know I shouldn't do. What would happen if someone were to manually push the device in more with hands while doing the contractions at the same time? The two sessions I had today only lasted about 4-8 minutes each. I don't feel any kind of pain as of right now but just seeing the sight of a little blood scared me. I'm new to this and I want to be safe as possible while using this device and not do any lasting damage to any of my organs.

Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be too worried now but you should never see blood during a session. Also, one rule for Aneros is that once inserted, HANDS OFF! The P-tab will find it's place in time and may even be pulled tighter against it. You can make sure that it is centered over your perineum and then make a minor adjustment if needed but after that, do not attempt any manual stim of your prostate! That function is entirely the reason the Aneros' are designed as they are. Only your anal contractions are needed for proper stim. You may want to 'experiment' with different lube(s): water, oil, silicone. Go slow and you should make progress. Good luck!

Carefully read the Wiki, it's full of great info. The Aneros shouldn't harm you, especially if you don't mess with it while it's inserted. It's fine to occasionally adjust the p tab toward your sweet spot, but not at all necessary.

You need to find the origin of the blood. If you don't have hemorrhoids(internal or external) then it might be time stop putting anything up there and see a doctor.

so what would likely happen if one were to manually stimulate the prostate with hands while the aneros is inserted? would it cause any damage to the prostate? the reason why i was pushing it in more was because i wasn't sure if the aneros was in all the way because i didn't feel the p-tab touching the perineum. And when you say "The P-tab will find it's place in time and may even be pulled tighter against it. " Does that mean if I insert it in most of the way but not all the way, the p-tab will automatically get pulled in closer to my perineum without needing to use my hands?

I forgot to mention in my post that I only saw a little bit of blood the first time. The second time, i didn't see any blood. So maybe its because I didn't use enough olive oil the first time.

Yes, you are correct. The P-tab will press tighter as the Aneros is 'pulled-in'. You need not worry about the positioning My original post suggests 'Hands Off" and that is always true! DO NOT manually stimulate your prostate! I have not tried olive oil. Lubes I have used include: ID Glide, Sliquid gel, Slippery Stuff gel, Boy Butter, Wet Platinum. My go-to for classic Aneros is Boy Butter. For me it is long-lasting and does not dry out.
