Stating the obvious probably but, make sure you are warm clean lubed up and relaxed. Then try a well lubed finger, inside and out, exploring and getting a feel for the tension relaxation and of course pleasurable feelings in the area. After a few minutes of that you'll likely be more than ready for your Aneros.

Finding the lube that works for you will be have the battle. I think it takes time for your body to adapt to the aneros. It didnt feel that great to me when I first inserted it either. I like the PROBE RICH AND THICK.

For me I like being alone in the house. Gets me more relaxed and a hot shower beforehand and empty stomach works for me.

Don't get frustrated, just relax. I bought the Hypnaneros mp3 downlload for my ipod which helped me get into a relaxed state. Well worth the 20-25 dollars.

Dont be afraid to put it aside if you feel yourself getting freustrated.

Im assuming youve got the Helix which has a larger head. Relaxation is a must, dont forget to take a deep breath and exhail while relaxing your anus as if passing the brown which will make it easier. As already mentioned use a finger to pre lube your anus and things will just slide in.

Thanks for the advice, I am waiting till I have the house to myself for an extended period of time before I try again, I just want to get naked, worked up and have a couple of hours to explore. Any lube suggestions?

Keep it simple for the first few sessions. Most of the guys here will say to avoid warming lubes or anything that you wouldn't put in your mouth and swallow. Think through you known allergies avoid related materials.

Have a pre-lube injector? Use one of the popular water-based gels or jelly's that everyone knows about. (K-Y Jelly, ID Glide etc.) Finger's worth on & in your anus, inject 4cc-5cc's and smear the whole tool.)

K-Y Advantage: If you have questions later there will be plenty of credible answers.

No injector? Go with a stickier substance like vegetable shortening. Slather the tool and put a dollup of K-Y on the tip. Finger's worth of K-Y on and in your anus. I find that Crisco is OK and doesn't leak but breaks down after an hour of moderate activity.

Advantage: Readily available.

If you are considering something more 'sophisticated,' rub some on your inner forearm to see if you have an allergic reaction. Most of the vegetable oils (Olive, Coconut, Saffower etc. are OK but are messy and tend to leak.)

Don't go out and buy or order more than a couple of ounces of any lube until you've tried it and prefer it to at least a half-dozen others lubes.

RELAX, HAVE FUN, RELAX, RELAX and RELAX (if you're not relaxed, tuck the tool between your buns and just lay there for a few minutes.)
