Jock itch and prostate massage

Is it safe to practice prostate massage if you have jock itch?

Wondering if jock itch could possibly spread to inside the anal canal.

I am not a physician but I do know that jock itch is a fungal infection and it can be spread, even to the anus. I suppose, theoretically, it can also be spread inside the anal canal. If that were to occur, it probably would have to be treated with an anti-fungal medicine. Perhaps an Aneros member with more medical expertise can clarify.
