I started my Aneros journey about 6 months ago. I've learned quite a lot along the way and found myself having nice orgasmic sessions the last few months, mostly with the Eupho Syn and sometimes the MGX Syn. Both of these seem to reach or touch my prostate differently than the Helix Syn. However, I do get occasional pleasure from that one as well. Each of my sessions was for a couple hours about 3-4 times a week.
Though I was getting awesome orgasms during some sessions that would last for a few minutes at a time, I knew they were not a Super O. The reason I knew this is because on just a few occasions, I had gotten this sudden blast of an intense orgasmic feeling that arched my back, blurred my vision, and took my breath away. You could stick a knife in me and I wouldn't care. It would only last a few seconds, but I knew that this had to be what a Super O was like.
Well low and behold, about a few weeks ago I had a session where this happened, but it lasted for 30 seconds to a minute at a time. And it happened about 4 or 5 times in a row in one session. I was in absolute awe and was ecstatic that I had arrived! I was able to replicate this for 3 or 4 sessions in a row. The best part is that I could reach this within 10 or 15 minutes of starting my session.
I have encountered a problem though since then. I can be all aroused with my prostate literally thumping before I start. Once i get started my body begins to go through the same routine that takes me to a Super O. However, the first orgasm is average at best. The rest thereafter I wouldn't even classify as an orgasm. They are just good feeling P-waves that take my body through the same convulsions, back arching, heavy breathing, and panting as a Super O, but they are not orgasmic and a total let down in the scheme of things.
I gave myself a 3-4 day break between sessions a few times, but the same thing is happening. It feels as though I've actually taken a step backwards since I'm not really having the nice orgasms that I had leading up to the Super O.
Is this something to be expected? Should I take a longer break? I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Thanks in advance!
There is a certain going through the motions of an orgasm without the actual orgasmic feelings that can occur for me and for others here, from what I’ve read. And We all have relative ups and downs for shorter or longer periods of time, depending on practice, psychological states, libido, etc.
I can’t tell you what to do specifically to resolve your issue, because only you know you. I would just recommend not worrying about it because that can create disappointment through not meeting expectations. Then I would recommend trying a variety of new things, different angles, so to speak (metaphorically but why not physically as well). Browse, read, apply, try different types of orgasms (aless, nipple, vagus nerve, etc), different times of day, different amounts of semen retention, different amounts of prior edging, different positions, different toys (dildos, njoy wand, fingers?)... maybe your orgasms will come back. Or maybe you will experience other orgasms. Or both. Or none.
Why not take an extended break, maybe a few weeks, and focus on other aspects that can be tied into prostate play, or other wellness activities that can contribute to a heightened awareness, such as meditation, yoga, Alexander technique, etc.
Maybe all of this is redundant to your current ways of doing things. I am unaware of your background or what your sessions entail! Good luck.
Sounds to me like you're expecting too much from each and every session, something I too I've suffered from.
Try not to put too much emphasis on achieving the 'Super-O' and enjoy the session for what it is, I used to get so disappointed when I had a session of lower intensity, now I go with the flow.
Relax and enjoy!

No, I don't think that is the issue. I learned about expecting too much about 2 months into my journey. Ever since then, I've always readily accepted that I will get what I get with each session. Some are duds, but more often they are not.
What got my attention with this is that my body was physically doing what it would do when I had achieved the Super O's previously, but there was no orgasmic feeling and only mildly pleasurable P-waves. My back arched, my breathing was labored, my heart rate was up, but nothing close to orgasmic sensations. That is why I was asking if this is unusual or something to be expected along the way.
As an update, I did go a week without a session or orgasm to give myself a break. I had a session last night that turned into a Super O within about 20 minutes or so. It ebbed and flowed for about 5 minutes and then slowly tapered off. An hour afterwards I stopped because it was obvious it was not coming back.
Plateaus happen. Last year when I had a LOT of time on my hands and I hit a few of them. I found though that they pass and the next level is better than the previous one.
When I first started I had the works - full body orgasms, total ecstacy, often within minutes of inserting the Progasm. I lost it quite quickly, although it was rather nice few weeks whilst it lasted, and it has never returned. At the time everyone on here said that it would return in time, but alas it was not to be. I have only ever managed to have pelvic based orgasms since and not always very strong, occasionally a very nice one but it is random, certainly no Super-Os or full body orgasms.
Hopefully you won't lose what you had completely but definitely it is a very unpredictable thing and very up and down.
